Replaying D00M Eternal. It has a nice bit of progressive mockery and a whole lot of badass.

Other than that, working on my backyard when it doesn't rain.

Hell yea, it's cathartic flying around the map and ripping demons apart.

Same here! I fed a guy to an alligator and then my horse took a shit. 11/10 would do again.

Never heard of this app before, it looks pretty good actually. Is it compatible with Steam or does it launch games outside of it?

I didn't realize how much I've wanted something like this until today after trying it out with Resident Evil 3. Super convenient and now I don't have to die 1000 times trying to finish a level with no resources. I don't have much time to game nowadays with family/job/life, so it'll be nice to revisit some games that require too much invested time to actually enjoy. Glad I came across your comment pede, thanks!

Wife has been playing the hell out of animal crossing, and just got the KK Slider concert ending. Ive gotten deep into a new game of chronotrigger. I'm about to get Frog permanently added to the party.

For anyone with younger children ages 6 - 12 I highly recommend the series of nancy drew games from HER INTERACTIVE. They are mystery puzzle games that my kids have grown up loving. And great to play as a family.

The husband is mostly doing Tarkov and Elite Dangerous, but a little Diablo 3 and Apex too because his friends are into it.

I'm currently addicted to Oxygen Not Included. Straight up, all I'm playing right now. It's very rare for me to get into a single game like this. I highly recommend it to everyone that is into base-building/city building games.

If you like PC gaming, give Rimworld a shot. It's been my off and on addiction for over 1000 hours.

Diablo 3 , Borderlands 3 and Worms WMD🤘

BL3 was the first of the series that I downloaded. It’s fun enough, but it bugs me that there’s no way to keep a gun you like for very long. Also, all of the male characters are either complete boobs or total assholes. Seems intentional.

SigourneyPodgorny20 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah BL3 felt very agenda driven which sucks because the other BL games were great. Hate the story in 3 so we turn the dialogue down and just follow the blue diamonds lol. Actually been playing waaaay more Diablo 3 than BL3.

Dusting off the VR. Will get back into Elite Dangerous, SkyrimVR. Witcher 3 is still installed as well.

I dug out my old Gear VR. Having more fun watching VR gameplay videos.

Feels like a more exciting movie.

Ok, No Man's Sky is boring as hell to watch someone play.

Been thinking of getting a VR setup specifically for elite dangerous. I dont know if i want to commit space to it right now though... But the idea of being able to fly through space and have the voices from star trek tng as assistants is so appealing.

I have the Oculus Rift, the CV1, not the newer "S". Actually we have 2 of them. One for me and one for my son. We bought wall hangars that you can stick on the wall with 3M (yeah F-U 3M) command strips. Mine are way high on the wall, less than 3 feet from corner of the room on each side. MY desk is in the corner. I have the sensors angled out and just a tad back towards where I sit. They work great, and do not take up much space that way.

Got the wall hangars off Ebay, People make all kinds of them with 3D printers.

Elite in V.R. will blow you away. You really do not understand the scale of the game, till you come riding up to you Anaconda, Cutter, Corvette on the planets surface in your SRV. When i first got it I did get motion sickness a few times racing around on a planets surface in the SRV, but once you get used to it, it makes Elite a total different experience.

Also SkyrimVR modded is another awesome experience.

EDIT: Also I use voice attack for Elite. So I never really need to see the computer. I use a HOTAS. I also use Ivona voice with a British female voice to respond to my spoken commands. One of the most immersive experiences ever.

I also use Ivona voice with a British female voice to respond to my spoken commands.

The fact that you can literally use the voices from og star trek and tng for this just blows me away.

Ive hesitated buying elite so far, i figured i want my initial experience with it to be in vr.

Maybe some day. Probably when I move into a house, which is going to be delayed by the nonsense world we live in right now.

Gotcha. it is worth it! Keep an eye out on Ebay, if you do not want to invest heavily. Can find good used CV1's every once in awhile. That's where i got my 2. I have had then for a couple of years, and no problems. Yeah you can get the pre-made voices, and they work great. What I did with going the route of purchasing an Ivona voice, is it allowed me to make my own keybindings and commands, and allowing custom responses. Instead of being tied to the pre-made ones, but either way is awesome.

And there are more voiced than just star trek. William Shatner, Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis, John De Lancie, Tom Baker, Brian Blessed, Norman Lovett, Idun Vik, Sabrina Ruiz, Alix Martin, Kate Russell, Paul Darrow, Verity Croft, Silvia McClure, just from the HCS Home page.

Each voice is a different charge, but They are cheap enough that getting a couple won't break the bank.

EDIT: you can also use voice attack without vr, and in more than E:D. I've even used it in M&B Warband and it was amazing.

Introducing my son to Nier: Automata and Prey. Dunno yet what I wanna finish from my backlog.

Prey was so good man

Classic doom games on the Switch. That, and both Nemesis and Scythe board games with my son.

Telcontar2012 3 points ago +3 / -0

State of Decay 2. Looking to knock out as many achievements for it as I can, then I'll be switching over to Fallout 4 and Skyrim.

Black Mesa (half life 1 remake)

also 7 Days To Die - an excellent post pandemic open world Zombie survival game.

Seemed appropriate and I highly recommend it.

Oh damn...you just reminded me that I got a copy of The Orange Box a while back and never broke out my PS3. HL2 and Portal here I come!

2
JwPATX 2 points ago +2 / -0

I’m waiting on a copy of Blackthorne for SNES, and Uniracers will be here soon too. Until then, it’s Apex, Untitled Goose Game, and Rocket League.

3
SigourneyPodgorny20 3 points ago +3 / -0

Lol Uniracers!! I loved that game when it came out. I've never met anyone else besides my brothers who even heard of it though. I remember it came out around the same time that the Beatles Anthology 3 came out...I played that game and listened to that tape more times than I can count. Good times!

3
JwPATX 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah! It was awesome. I never owned it, but I rented it all the time back then

3
SigourneyPodgorny20 3 points ago +3 / -0

Now that I think about it, it may have been the first game I ever bought for myself. I'll have to ask my brother if he still has it

3
JwPATX 3 points ago +3 / -0

The first game I ever owned personally was top gun for NES. I swear I landed on the carrier, because I remember playing the next level where submarines are shooting at you, but no one believes me.

3
SigourneyPodgorny20 3 points ago +3 / -0

Lol yeah my friend had top gun..I know I landed but don't remember anything after that. My brother does still have my Uniracers but said last time he tried to play it didn't work...boo

2
bludstone [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Uniracers

Rare! How much did that set you back?

Ive been collecting boxed gen games, snes games kinda on the back burner for now. Great picks tho.

Also, I should play more rocket league.

2
JwPATX 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thanks!

It was only $25 through some amazon seller! You’d think it’d be more since they only made like 300 something. I’m honestly not holding out hope that I’ll get more than just a box. We’ll see. Blackthorne was like $40, but it’s supposedly a NIB with instruction manual. Yeah I’ve decided to stock up on the classic games that I’d been considering for a while because if the world collapses, and I have to go live on my ranch, my SNES will still work. I’ve also got some good PS1/PS2 stuff to work with too.

2
bludstone [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Those uniracers have to be a reprint thing. A bunch of chinese sellers are making expensive old carts and selling them cheap as real. Maybe its real, who knows. Double check it when you get it, there are ways to tell if its real.

I picked up a terranigma cart this way, it was never actually released stateside.

Look up the Super NT if you are into collecting old snes games. Its the best way to play snes carts, easy.

2
JwPATX 2 points ago +2 / -0

I figured it was something like that tbh. No way a game that rare can be that cheap even if no one liked it. I’ve got an FC triple/another one of those aftermarket 3 in 1 consoles, but it’s the controllers for those that I don’t like. I’ll look into the super NT for sure tho.

2
Butthurt 2 points ago +2 / -0

I haven’t played games in months. I still have a backlog from the steam sale. So far I’m deciding if I wanna okay far cry primal or Yakuza 0.

bett 2 points ago +2 / -0

Grinding League of Legends, with a little TFT as well. Teaching my son chess at the same time to try and limit screen time a bit. Might break out CivVI this weekend, that's always good for a marathon session.

I'm playing the Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall with a revamped engine called unity and some mods. makes the game easier to deal with.
