I’ve noticed every time a democrat is in office, the poor economy is blamed on the presidency from a decade prior. Every time a republican is in office, they openly make the economy their focus and have more economic experience and the economy does better. The exception would be Clinton, who also openly made the economy an issue and tried investing in it, and was noted as a president to not operate in the same way most democrats did.

At what point is a democratic capable of causing, contributing to, or failing to address a bad economy? Because despite all the mounting evidence, it appears a democrat isn’t capable of any wrong doing, even as wrong doing is verifiably being done across all available metrics.

It also stands to reason that someone with business experience is going to be better at handling economic issues than someone with experience solely in stringing people along for votes and claiming their failures are a result them not receiving enough money. If one candidate’s platform is based on race baiting and giving out ‘free’ stuff, and one candidate’s platform is based on applying economic experience to address economic issues, it stands to reason that a better economy is going to result from the latter candidate. Trump or otherwise, it would be weird if anything else occurred. Where would Obama’s economic expertise even come from if anyone were to claim we’re now living in his Eden that he worked so hard to build?

But Disney told me that hope and wishes fixes everything!

The Dow is currently 3k points higher than Obama's high mark.

Even with an extra $600/wk incentive to be unemployed, the 6-7 million that have filed for unemployment so far leaves more employed people than Obama's best job marks. A lot of those jobs will be resumed as companies are taking advantage of unemployment as a temporary way to "pay" their staff.

You know I did something ridiculously stupid I took all my money out of stocks last year. I might not have any money anymore, but at least I used it instead of it getting stolen for a bunch of whiny bitches who thought it was the end of the world.

I took out a large chunk last year and remodeled my house. It would not have been possible if I had waited to do it now.

You got out when the stocks were hot, smart :) I hope the remodel went well! I've heard horror stories lol.

True enough but with all those references I still had to wait 18 months for a painting crew to show up, he must've been busy.

Been painting for 15 years. Have never once heard a story like that. Crazy

It was crazy, he came out three times for an eval, there were 5 months between them. The HOP President confirmed this guy to being within the correct parameters so I just assume everyone contacted him about painting.

Based on what you're saying, assuming you're talking residential, I'd say they ran you through the numbers and overcharged the shit out of you, which is probably absolutely normal for how they do business.

What do you mean by HOP, you mean HOA?

lol...do you seriously know 20+ painters and 20+ plumbers and 20+ drywallers and 20+ contractors? I doubt it.

I did it myself. Of course my first job was working for a AAA general contractor rebuilding damaged homes. But I'm super anal about my house.

The rebound the market makes as the economy opens up is going to be absolutely insane.

If the sad truth of this doesn't make your voting decision in November clear, we can't help you. No matter how much we may want to.
