I heard about a drug that treats head lice (of all things) that kills the virus in 2 days in a lab setting.

Ivermectin? It's an anti parasital drug.

Yep. Also approved for use to treat HIV, dengue and influenza.

I've heard some things recently about a link between parasites and viruses. No evidence, just things I've heard.

It's also the active ingredient in prescription treatment for head lice.

I have some ivermectin in the house. Bought the paste they give horses and zapped my kids' lice with it using it topically (TMI I know, but lice are a major problem where I live and pretty much every kid gets them.)
