This is why safety nets are garbage. They do nothing when you need them. This is a crises. This is when government needs to support people. If it can't help us now, just scrap it altogether. If we can't fund a shutdown, end it now. It's not that complicated. Don't do things with government you can't afford. We are owed compensation from the government for their damages to our industry.
Because it’s an extraordinary situation, man. I’m as conservative as anyone, but what are you supposed to do? The government says that for public health reasons we can’t just go about our business. They have to compensate for that.
Except it's not. Known cases are known because someone had a severe enough case to get tested. The reality is almost certainly that the mortality rate is less than one percent because most cases are mild or even asymptomatic. I'll touch that topic all day long.

What a fag.
lol
I was going to tell him yeah that sucks. Now is it worth destroying the greatest economic engine the world has ever seen, and turning America into a third world shithole country from now on for those that survive?
There's a difference between socialism and keeping the economy from completely drowning during an international crisis.
I have had enough though, yes. We have to go back to work. Old people stay home, everyone else start living your life again.
Exactly right. The government needs to compensate us for making us take these extraordinary measures.
And where exactly does "government" get their funding?

And, what about "non profits" like Soros' Open Society network?
Is he going to get yet another deluge of taxpayers' hard-earned cash?
Disturbing.
I agree, we never should have shut down. But we're here now so we probably need this. Shitty situation.

I agree with you. This situation make me a little nervous. I trust Trump, but I don’t trust the government and will never be.
