They reversed that though. Reusable bags are banned and plastics are back. You'd almost think it was a pointless feel good bullshit policy that did nothing but waste more resources by forcing you to wash that bag once a week.
As someone who works in groceries, I don't have a problem with reusable bags and think there are a lot of positives to using them. That being said, nobody should be forced to use them, and if people want to use paper or plastic instead, they should have every right to.
California as a STATE banned it. Local cities are now reversing the ban. In Florida it was the opposite. Cities banned the bags and are now reversing it.
I tend to chose paper because that's what I empty my garbage cans into. When I do chose plastic, I stuff it into another plastic bag filled with all the other scrunged up plastic bags haha. When that is full I throw it into the recycle bin for plastic bags that sits outside my local grocery store. To be honest, there is nothing wrong with plastic, but I prefer paper and reusable bags. I also don't believe in legislating it like the Democrats. I have a hypothesis that conservatives tend to chose paper over plastic and the reverse is true for Democrats (except for the extremely hardcore), but I have no proof since I have not tested this belief to yeild any concrete statistics and other measurements.
I use the paper for recycling as well. Small cans and plastic bottles I just chuck loose into the big recycling bin that one wheels out to the curb haha. If you mean small garbage cans, the platic bags do fit super nice.
So funny first they pressed us to use recyclable bags and charge us 10 cents a bag if we didn't have one..now they don't want us to bring them into the market and they do not charge for bags.they now realize people were just bringing germs back into the market and spreading them from their bags this is one thing I hope stays after this is over..the whole thing was a hidden tax. and proves not to be sanitary.
Im a troll so whenever a gretta looney cusses me out I tell them Im gonna grab 50 straws and just throw them away for them. They usually are very nice after /s
Why do they always have to ban shit? First they ban plastic bags and demand people use reusable, then ban reusable and demand they use plastic. Just don't ban a fucking bag it's not that hard.
If there's one ray of light that the kung flu's brought, it's that hopefully it sets back all these "green" initiatives hundreds of years as it's realized they're nothing but excuses to raise taxes, remove freedom of choice, and make leftists hard.
This is like half a clown. Those reusable shopping bags are disgusting, particularly the cloth ones. They never get washed, soak in meat and seafood juices, and use as much energy to make as the plastic bags they replace by the time you throw it out.
Intentionally infecting someone with HIV is taken less seriously than coughing on some produce as a gag.
It's to "end the stigma". I'm still wondering how that works: would you be more or less likely to avoid someone with HIV if they can spread it legally?

You know what I did with my old single use bags? I saved em up and used em for the trashbin.
Now I buy plastic bags that are thicker JUST to use for the garbage.
Only in San Francisco.
In LA (and elsewhere) disposable plastic bags are still banned.

i fill the plastic with garbage. great for small cans! paper is great for recycling bags.

Never forget when I went to subway in California and they made me pay for a bag for my sandwich
HONK!

Probably a misdemeanor though regarding AIDS I'm assuming, like homicide.

They’re still charging the 10 cents per bag, though.
Be happy you can contribute to the effort comrade.

It's a misdemeanor, still not legal, but not a felony like it was.
So having sex with someone with the INTENT to infect them with HIV receives exactly the same punishment as trespassing, or being drunk in public.
I guess my point is completely invalidated.

Democrat logic is like an alternate universe.
It's not like 10-15k Americans die from it every year or anything.
