Look the hospitals in NYC are pretty full and there’s a lot of patients in icus. It’s a fact.
However, the staggering majority of very sick and dying patients are old ie. 75+ and/or have a number of medical problems ranging from drug abuse to CHF to HIV.
People will continue to get sick and yes people are dying. The question is... does the world accept these deaths which right now total 64,000 world wide and get back to a functioning society?
Or, do we close the entire world and risk absolute economic and societal failure for a virus which may end up killing maybe 0.005% of the worlds population?
Famliy member works in NYC hospital, was reassigned to ER earlier this week. I was told most people showing up in bad shape and nearly all the ICU are older obsese men. The ICU patients were given the HCQ/Z-Pak 2 weeks ago, but they were already intubated and a foot in the grave. They started the pills with the less ill cases this week. Should have good numbers Monday.
Things should be able to ho back to normal after Easter, but none of the governors, particularly Governor Party Tits wants to be the first to resume business as normal. It will unfotunately be left to Daddy Trump to tell everyone to go back to work around the end of the month.
