I agree with you, but I want to point out that if you don’t use the mask properly, taking it on and off, changing it or disinfecting it, then it is worse than not wearing one at all. This is why the public should not wear them. Health workers spend a lot of time training to use PPE so they can do it right.
People are dumb and think just wearing a mask helps but it only helps if you do it right.
