Ted can you please stop with the identiy politics? Why only focus on blacks and latino? Why do whites not matter? Why do blacks and latinos only matter?
If it so happened that US unemployment got down to some mythical, almost imaginary unemployment level like 1.1%, but Black/Hispanic unemployment was DEMONSTRABLY lagging behind other time periods (like the Dot Com boom in the 90s), Trump (and Capitalist policies, more broadly) would be dragged as ONLY catering to Whites while leaving everyone else behind. The resulting vacuum would guarantee the GOP, despite their success, would be swept out of power to, at minimum, a Democrat House and maybe worse.
When you point out that EVERYONE is getting ahead - and you have the numbers to back it that, yes, Blacks/Latinos are doing better than they EVER HAVE in the past under Democrat leadership - then you make it clear to everyone that the biggest hurdle to getting a job isn't racism, it's having job skills and using those job skills in a productive manner.
You are ostensibly arguing that when a store offers a 5% discount for Veterans or the Elderly, they are actively saying their other customers don't matter. And nothing could be further from the truth. It's socially encouraged to do so, and for Cruz, it's socially encouraged for politicians to tout the positive effects their big bad raaaaaycist Republican policies have for minority (in terms of per-capita wealth/influence) populations.

He's not playing identity politics. Those stats are what the press pretends to care about, so he's shoving it in their faces.
Focusing only on helping blacks and latinos isnt identity politics to you?
