Situation could be a opportunity for a "test" to see how compliant citizens will be, and how quickly too. And then how much push back there will be when policies are enforced.
You're kidding me, right? Have you seen the assholes waiting in line to get groceries. Do you think social distancing is a reasonable way to "flatten the curve"? Them we failed!
Not sure what you're responding to. I say we get an F on the "test" about how compliant we will be and how quickly. We complied in every way they wanted and did so very quickly, like dumb sheep.
By the way, your point is legit. People are going to try to stop us from reopening things by saying that social distancing is keeping the virus from exploding and killing millions. Bullshit. People are out and about and interacting with people all over the place. In fact, in some ways, we're more concentrated. Instead of buying food at dozens of different places throughout the week, we're going into the same markets more frequently than we used to. I've been going into two markets for food only recently. And each time I do, there are twice as many people.
My personal favorite bit is that the market near me that was open 24 hours a day shrunk their hours to 6-to-8. If they had stayed open, people could go shopping at like 2 AM when most people are asleep...
An F, considering that even many "conservatives" have bought into the hype and are mindlessly following if not enthusiastically supporting all of the hysterics and dictatorial bullshit that governments are pulling all over the country.
The weirdest thing about this whole experience for me is seeing how easily people panic. Even on here.
I still sometimes see the warning about how things are going to get really bad “in two weeks”.
From my POV, you can’t do anything about the virus existing. Take the precautions: don’t touch people or be too close, wash your hands, maybe eat more vegetables and fruits to boost your immune system... and just live your life. There’s nothing to worry about really.
I’m in the South though. Other than a weird run on the grocery stores for toilet paper, people haven’t been behaving that badly. Maybe the hot weather helps.

Are we getting an F or an A? Depends on the perspective, I guess.
From my point of view, we the people, get a solid F. It's astonishing to me how easily people have simply given up their rights.

Depends on the place. I was surprised to find my grocery store with marked lines for people to stand at and people actually doing it.
Then again it was weird because you’re all interacting with the cashier, who obviously can’t be six feet away.
