So, I own about 9 handguns and spend a lot of time at the range with them.
Most smalller handguns are quite affordable no matter what you are looking.
I personlly started out carrying a M&P shield which is very affordable.
Then i switched to the Walther PPS, it fight better on my hip and i liked the way shot better, i had more control.
now i have switched gears to a Sig P365 due to the double stack capacity. At first i was looking for more comfortable carries with price in mind.
But eventually realized i would sacrifice some comfort for more ammo capacity. The Sig P365 stills fits nicely under my suit that I wear to work everyday (albeit the double stack magazine is definetely a little less comfortable).
Bigggest thing you need to think about hwen purchasing a handgun for self protection is not the price, as there are always deals on guns and most are quite affordable.
What you need to figure it which one you can it the center of the target with most. accuracy and comfort firing it are everything.
