I don't live in the US, but I bought one pack of the stuff just in case many weeks ago because I don't trust our systems to work effectively during times of crisis even though I was 100% sure it was mostly my own anxiety and control-freakishness. I have a lot of trouble flying, for example, because I have to trust the system and give up control.
Like I am fully cognizant of my heightened levels of anxiety, but I mostly have it under rational control. The only thing I bought on was ethanol, masks (already gone, did not realize how fast they go) and drugs, because the other stuff isn't actually needed at the moment. Food and TP aren't going anywhere for the foreseeable 3 month future.
But even though I told myself it was just paranoia to buy drugs, nothing I'm seeing from most of the world's nations is making me reconsider my paranoia. My paranoia was 100% justified.
