I used to live my life as a liberal until the Pedosta dumps. Lived in a deep blue zone, with blue teachers and blue parents and blue friends. After I got redpilled, I realized I had been brainwashed. And I realized that the keystone of the brainwashing is that they teach you all through growing up that "there is no such thing as evil". They teach you that if people are doing evil-seeming deeds, they must be a victim, they must be misunderstood, it must be a flaw in your ability to perceive the facts, they must have been raised badly, it must be some kind of ignorance that's to blame.
They do that so that when you hear about shit like this, you say to yourself as a liberal "there must be some kind of reasonable or logical explanation for this". You refuse to see what you are really looking at.
Just as an example, Democracy Now is always doing fluff pieces on prisoners, and interviewing prisoners, and highlighting the plight of prisoners. So that as a liberal you say "oh the poor prisoner, that is so unfair". A classically brainwashed liberal will never be able to come to the conclusion that a democrat is hoarding medicine because they want you dead. "There must be some OTHER reason."
