Doctor, do you mean to say that you can prescribe hydroxychloroquine, but your patients can't get the Rx filled in Utah pharmacies? Because the pharmacies don't have any in stock? That there is hydroxychloroquine in the state of Utah, but that state health agencies have possession of the supply, and will not make it available to pharmacies to fill RX's from licenced physicians?
Please answer me because I'm trying so hard to figure out why hydroxychloroquine us being withheld from people in early stages of the virus.
In Italy, if you cough once, they shove about 20 HCQ pills down your throat immediately ( I might be exaggerating a bit). And we see how Italy is doing. What's wrong with this picture?
They’re keeping docs from prescribing it freely because there are limited quantities and some doctors were self-prescribing large quantities to create a personal inventory for themselves, their friends and families. Just google search “doctors prescribing hydrochloroquine” and see what comes up.
Really I’d think you only need to prescribe it to the small number of people developing breathing issues.
What you post is interesting, since if Italy is prescribing these drugs liberally it might suggest the drug is not effective. The mortality rate in Italy is terrible, so that would not exactly be a ringing endorsement of the drug as a treatment.
If some docs are abusing their subscribing, take measures against those individuals. That's BS to negate all doc's licenses to prescribe. It smells like BS, we're being conned.

if you go read actual italian news translated, cases and deaths are dropping daily
and google is blocking translation on some of them so you need to copy the link and translate elsewhere
Italy had over 10% mortality.
??? Italy has successfully flattened the curve
