Important distinction about this situation. these drugs are not something that some obscure chemist threw together and said "hey this works, give it to sick people".

These drugs are time tested and have been used safely for YEARS. There is no reason to not give this to people who have EARLY symptoms, sure, each doctor has to evaluate each patient to make sure it would be ok, no one is saying it should be given out at drive thru's with your value meal or even over the counter sales.

They are saying it works best when given sometime around 2 - 7 days of symptom development, that is plenty of time for people to get in and see a doctor and get a course of the medicine going.

If it is not working, they are no worse off and then they can go in to see if the hospital is needed.

Hell, many many people are just getting this and walking it off with no drugs of any kind needed.

This seems like such a simple thing to do, and this is why I am convinced that there are forces behind the scenes actively trying to keep what i just described from happening.

There were a number of confirmed cases close to him. You could be on to something.

I'm sure there are TDS sufferers who will deny it. Let them volunteer as "controls"...

That conversation would probably end up being the biggest fucking Red Pill ever...

There is a SNL skit hidden in there.

Fascinating story, yes. Nobody in their right mind would leak details of a meeting like that. Too easy to trace who it was, too easy to never be invited to another meeting again.

Problem is states are restricting what Doctors can do and some Doctors are refusing to use it.

I think pretty much all of the governors have backed off of that after the FDA approved it for use in hospitalizations.

The main problem with tens of millions of doses being in the national stockpile is that they're still in the stockpile. Hospitals in my city claim they don't have any hydroxychloroquine and are telling anyone with covid to stay home because they don't want their patients infected.

Thingthing22 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes. They should be. Lots of sick Italians who were at the hospital for other shit contracted this because a few people panicked.

bit0101 1 point ago +1 / -0

Then where do you get it? Especially in states where they've banned it from being handed out anywhere other than hospitals?

and are telling anyone with covid to stay home because they don't want their patients infected.

People with COVID should stay home. Give them a prescriptions to the HCQ/Zpack/Zinc combo as soon as you know they have COVID, then have them stay home and rest. Don't let it ever get to the point of hospitalization.

That's the problem, that first part ain't happening nearly enough.

So according to Fauci we need people to die in the name of science.

Million dollar question: "Gov Cuomo, are you giving your brother Chris the cure?"

They don’t even need to be paid. TDS + need for attention is all it takes.

mykillk 6 points ago +6 / -0

For real. Celebrities are probably the least capable of handling social distancing. They're used to lackeys fawning over them 24/7. No doubt they are going crazy from the lack of the constant attention that validates their existence.

Another reason this seems believable. Navarro has to be enraged about the virus. The economic destruction that it has caused (far more than the economic damage to China) has completely destroyed all the leverage we've carefully built up against China in the trade negotiations. The negotiations which he is chiefly responsible for.

Fauci is a complete piece of garbage human being. I smell a rat. You have to wonder how much the pharma companies are paying this guys relatives, wife, the lobbying/consulting firm that will hire him once this pandemic is over, etc, to get him to be such a smug, saboteuring PRICK who knows that combing through HIS finances and HIS tax returns won't show the quid pro quo he's engaging in right now.

You want a control group? Fine. Then give some people LESS of the drug, and some people MORE. Give some people ONLY Cloroquine, and give some Cloroquine PLUS other substances. There's your god damned control group, you murderous rat-faced asshole.

After the way Trump stepped in and completely shut down the question about Hydroxychloroquine when Fauci was at the podium, this narrative is very believable. Clearly Fauci has lost the argument about waiting for definitive clinical data on Hydroxychloroquine because the data is already good enough to warrant using it.

Navarro sounds like a real firebrand! I like it.

Plausible. Also, perfectly plausible as a LARP.

No person's name is associated with this report.

Interesting that Axios and The Hill are publishing this. Makes me believe they are pitting Navarro and Trump economy against Fauci in order to trash Trump when he opens the economy

Placebo effect.

Observer bias.

Lots of others reasons that have gotten other people killed because they simply weren't in a situation where they witnessed deaths.

It's not unethical to give a sick person a placebo when you have no idea if your drug actually works.

3
Xpb104 3 points ago +3 / -0

But even in the middle of a study if the rest drug is showing good results it is unethical to keep the control group on placebo.
