EDIT: This disturbed me enough that I went and found the YT video of the full interview. This is exactly what he said, word for word.
The interviewer (whatever the fuck this dude’s name is, don’t care) was just sad. You can see it. He asks a question, then just waits for the awkward silence, then asks the next question. Doesn’t even react to Joe’s answers.
Seems pretty clear that Joe is reading from a teleprompter where they are rapidly typing after the question is asked (long pause before answer), and it looks like on this question, they screwed up and/or he went off script.
