Well fuck then, get them into a situation that enables them to do that. Public school is so ridiculously bullshit far from that it might as well be in a different universe.
The absolute best you can hope for with your kids in government schools is to undo the damage each night.
I agree that public school is absolute garbage, but not everyone can afford private school or home school. Both parents need to work to pay the bills, and some parents just aren't capable of teaching at home because they don't know what to do.
There are options. Grants, scholarships. Free military boarding schools. Expat communities. Churches. The American way, is to find a way.
We were all set to send our kid to a private Christian school. Sadly it didn't work out that way as the school closed. We have another year yet so we're still praying something comes up.
Get them attending online. Homeschool if you have to. Organize with a church. Consider every option. There are free military boarding schools. There are scholarships for private schools. Special grant programs. Would it make sense to go into "poverty" so you can qualify? Go abroad and use the private schools of expat communities. Find a way! Do what you can, our future literally depends on these decisions.
