About half of sheriffs are already this decent. Even in CA the sheriff of my county was elected on the promise of being the best and least restrictive about processing Concealed Carry permits.
Kern County, I love this place and 80% of the bad things here are caused in Sacramento or made up in LA. Because of how much I love this place I will not leave CA unless my life depends on it.

Given Comrade Mills{D} and the Legislature{D} Sheriff Nichols will not last long in Office. One of our bigger towns HAD a Rep. mayor. As soon as the Power shifted at the Capital, he was 'coup d' tate' right out of office
Illegal orders don't have to be followed. Use common sense flu precautions and get on with your life. Like I have to be quarintined to want to stay away from this depraved society in the first place.
Yes, but he definitely doesn't talk to what he starts out talking like--he goes right in line with stuff just as bad, that I'm disappointed with. Why can't he just be right out, 'we won't enforce unconstitutional orders' and be done with it? Why does he have to reserve the ability to still break up lawful assemblies?
Can we clone this guy and make him Sheriff everywhere?

He sounds so great then goes right on to say they'll still arrest people 'disobeying' the governor's unlawful order. Doesn't sound so great to me!
Still, I prefer this. Unlike 99% of the other county sheriffs, he's taking his office seriously and saying what's what.

This happens because Sheriff's are vote on by the people, while Police are appointed by politicians.
