When all this passes, India stands to benefit the most from American companies moving production elsewhere. We need to move more back to the US, but India is far more preferable than China.

India is one of the most protectionist nations out there, they don't even allow the import of clothing. Unless they opened up their economy, they wont be getting those factories because we'd be making the same mistake as we did with China.

They do, however, need US support in Kashmir and along their border with China, so they'll play ball here for their own good.

As someone who works with a lot of H1B's, they are all very nice. The biggest issue is trying to understand the accent. It has taken me 10+ years to not have to ask them to repeat themselves more than 3 times per 30 minute meeting.

The big issue is the fake it until you make it mentality in India. The people that hire them are too dumb (or ignorant) to even know if they know their shit or not.

America doesn’t actually need any immigration at all.
