The problem with Bill Nye and all mainstream science today is that they tell you what to think and reinforce it with cartoons and fantasy. Damn near all of it is CGI. All science related media is for the average moron to regurgitate in order to feel intelligent over his peers. To them anything outside of the scientific norm is worthy of violence and ridicule. It's a cult. Black Science Man and Co. suppresses real science from getting out. NASA is bad in the same way; hence spaceforce, m'kay?

THe other thing about Bill Nye is that he has no passion for science. He is an angry washed up comedian who's sole focus is bashing other people. He was never funny. He was never scientific.
