Howdy, welcome to America. Government has tried to give us all trauma - mine was the late 60s with busing and draft and race riots and the chaos of the Cold War.

Most of us, at least us older ones, DO understand how government twists Society, uses media and schools to pressure kids this way or that. We DO understand how it messes y'all up. As you see looking back at it, it is all about control, government did not want you to be happy and well adjusted, 'normal'.

There is still much you have not seen but the fact you popped your eyes open early will help you tremendously. Welcome again, it is difficult to trust yourself when authority pushes you into this or that box and tells you it is your box.

Maybe others will pick your brain, but many of us know the details with enough definition that we merely welcome you, embrace you as a Fellow American. I know people who are in their 60s, as I am, who are just now opening their eyes. Some of them loved Bill Clinton, today they see his lies and evil corruptions. Others simply didn't believe media and academia and government could be so corrupt and so kept doing as media told them to do, as government told them to do.

For you to open them now speaks well of you, thinking for yourself IS the definition of Freedom really.

You should know, the world is fixing to change. This virus is not what it seems to be, there is a much larger war going on right now. You do not have to 'do' anything to be safe tho, know that Patriots are in control and we intend to dismantle that old government/media corruption which fouled your Life.

But Welcome, breathe easy, you are living in the most interesting Timeline our Lives.

All the chaos of our Society breaks down to simply this; Good versus Evil. This great struggle we face today isn't a political thing really, tho it is parsed as Dems/Repubs in America.

We are witnessing a Great Awakening, more Spiritual than political in the usual sense of the word. People are demanding a return to morality and common sense, no more defying science and biology and nature and chasing Power and Status or what the heck ever. A return to the Rule of Law, to Polite Society and Peace.

Imagine our Society with no media-driven Hatreds, no institutionalized governmental corruptions, no tiered Justice system where I go to jail but politicians/rich/elites do not. 'We', a Royal we there, had to first cull Repubs before we could begin to work on the Dems. Even with our best works tho, TEA Partiers for instance or we who voted for Perot thinking to make a Change... we couldn't succeed without Trump.

Trump is not a political figure, thus he is not beholden to a party. He isn't at a disadvantage with the media, thus he cannot be bullied, sullied or shouted down and humiliated falsely. He is genuinely focused on We the People, Freedom, America, and God. Not necessarily in that order.

We had to have Trump and to succeed against the vast empire of corruption which is the Deep State, we also had to have 'Q'.

This Timeline is incredible, millions of us have been wanting 'this' for all our adult lives.

I feel like one day this push to give our youth potentially permanently life-altering chemicals will be viewed the same way we view doctors who gave lobotomies to people in the 1940’s and 1950’s - a tragic, misguided mistake that ruined people’s lives.

I’m glad you have pushed through this, but I can’t help but feel anger that transitioning is still being championed by the left. Why do they do that? Do they truly not see the consequences?

Do you remember the moment you started questioning the overarching, mainstream narrative?

For me it was in Summer of 2017 when there were 2 immigration bills in Congress. 1 hardline, 1 compromise. I knew the hardline would not get Democratic support, but the compromise did not either. At that point in time I knew the Democrats were not interested in solving the problem of illegal immigration, heck I'm convinced they don't see it as a problem. After that I saw how disingenuous a lot of what they parrot is. People listen to Republicans with skepticism, but eat up anything a Dem says. Why?

I recommend giving Dr. Karlyn Borysenko a watch on youtube. She only just recently started a YouTube channel (about a month ago) and is documenting her own experience questioning the mainstream narrative that is being parroted by the Left. Its really interesting to see and her point of view on the Knitting Wars is fantastic.

Welcome! Glad to see you are a real person. Please allow me to apologize on behalf of of the 1 person that expressed his skepticism by outright accusing you of being a troll. I too had my doubts just based on the title of your post, but I'll always give people the benefit of the doubt and you'll see I responded to you earlier.

If you want to discuss Christianity I can help. I questioned the whole thing for about 15 years thinking it was all fake. I turned down the chance to become an ordained minister at quite a young age, and have had quite the journey in the decades since. This place has LOTS of very mature Christians who could also help you so if you feel more comfortable with someone else that's fine too. It really does help to reach out to at least one person you can relate to.

We each have our own steps to take ... I hope you are well and stay healthy!

You are very obviously a lovely young woman; thank you for contributing to our community! Everybody has a "muddled view of Christianity in the past." I would urge you to read exactly what I would say to anybody; start in the Gospel of John. It starts in the beginning just like Genesis, and quickly moves through the main points. Next is the book of Acts which can be a bit of a slog through lots of it, but the highlights are SO good! Continue right to the end, but I would caution you that Revelation won't make much sense to you until you master the other 65 books. Still, there are parts that are profound and you won't want to miss! That'll keep you busy a while without needing commentary from anyone. Try to resist the temptation of studying any one part too much, and just read it to get it in you the first time through.

This brings up the question, which version? I'll point out the only problem with reading it online is you can't highlight or mark what you've read to quickly reference parts that really spoke to you. There are some great websites that include many good modern versions and have lots of study aids too. Or maybe some websites actually do let you highlight bits you like? It's a very useful technique and again the book of Acts is a great example of this: you can later skip over the bulk of it which is a "slog," and get right to the parts that are amazing, and review them after you've read the whole book.

In terms of which version, I'll say that modern scholars recommending modern versions as best (and there are two) don't really read any differently than KJV or ESV to me. ESV (English Standard Version) is more standard English as the name implies. While I do enjoy the flowery poetic KJV, Eugene Peterson does a good job of explaining the problems with it. He wrote a version which is great for reading Paul but terrible for the Gospels. His forwards into each book might be the best part of his work, which I think it was the publishers that decided to call it The Message and is abbreviated MSG. He himself says his style of translation is terrible with the Gospels, and he's right. An advantage of having so many different translations is when a certain passage doesn't make much sense to you, you can read the same passage in other versions and it's a good way to help better understand. Biblegateway.com is a great website for having a zillion different modern versions, blueletterbible.org is a great site for having lots of advanced study aids but it doesn't have a few versions I really like. Before needing to buy anything hardcopy, it's nice to preview some different versions to find a style you like. I'll always say that the best version is the version you'll read.

After you get done with the book of Acts which you can think of as part 2 of the Gospel according to Luke, you get right to Paul's writings, starting with his best and going in reverse order through to his worst. But before you even finish the Gospel of John your view of Christianity will be greatly clarified. John is simultaneously "the Disciple whom Jesus loved," and therefore known as John the beloved, John the theologian because where the 4 Gospels seem to disagree always go with John, and John the Revelator as he penned Revelation. He also wrote some short Epistles which are really good. He was the youngest Disciple and that is reflected in his Gospel, which has a childlike innocence to it.

Now about my own experience that you asked about: I was Baptized as an infant in the Episcopalian Church. Learning to read by reading the Bible is rather miraculous in itself, but I didn't notice anything unusual about it at the time. I saw the stark difference between what I read and my Father's behavior. This was back when families actually ate dinner together, and it was especially evident to me there. John Shelby Spong was a very divisive figure in the church, an author, and I sang in the choir when he was ordained Bishop. I could clearly see that his ideas had nothing to do with the Bible, and all the hypocrisy was just too much for me. Somehow I never lost Faith that Jesus rose from the dead so I can't say I turned my back on Christianity itself, but I did see church as phoney and in my infinite wisdom as a child decided that meant ALL churches were too.

What changed was after a series of undeniable miracles which saved my life, I had a very personal experience with the risen Lord as I became born again. This is not something anyone can transfer to you, but there is something called "the laying on of hands" which is very real. Maybe after this plague is over, lol. The fact is God loves everyone equally, and Jesus Himself is our defense attorney, defending us against satan. Among His many other current roles.

Each person's calling and journey is unique, and the perspective and personality each of us develop through the process is something God Himself enjoys. God not only loves you, He actually LIKES you! He weaves us together like a tapestry, and that is the proper meaning of the word "diversity."

I was going to check up on you :) Thanks for letting me know!

One brief tidbit, that I hope you already know. I'll use John 1:12 as an example:

"as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God"

You can read that as "daughters." Jesus is not excluding anyone here. This is less a translation issue and more a cultural issue. The idea is similar to a Disciple, or the children of Israel, which obviously had to be about 1/2 female.

I'm glad He is speaking to you! That's always what makes it good. Hoppy Easter

Welcome.

So you had TDS and believed the MSM when they said Trump=Hitler. When did you realize that Trump wasn't Hitler? And how much did that lessen your TDS? Why doesn't this seem to have any effect on millions of people who still have TDS?! That is the biggest mystery to me.

I see a possible correlation between being transgender and having TDS. In your case, after you abandoned that, you became pro-Trump. Do you think the Left is trying to exploit a correlation here, by influencing people to become transgender so that they feel forced to vote Left?

Razeontherock 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hi! I'm more interested in how you (or anyone) ever thought DJT was "the modern reincarnation of Adolph Hitler." I mean, obviously people do. Can you explain how it's possible?

I also do realize that the only way a human can sustain exposure to MSM is by being a nervous wreck. This is deliberate. But there is 100% nothing anyone can point to that demonstrates Trump = Hitler. So without demonstrable fact, how does the process occur?

Anyway we're all very glad to see you escape that trap; it's not literally death, but it must be it's own hell. And I know the people here well enough to say we're all glad you're free of that hell! That's the most important thing.

Thanks so much for this! What a great explanation.

If it interests you, I can summarize a comparison on these basic points:

my parents were small children when this stuff happened, born in 1933 and 1934. So they did learn of how WWI was unjust to Germans and that anti-semitism was growing throughout Europe even beforehand, directly from those who experienced it. And the first soldier into battle on D-Day was my Mom's Uncle; he fought the rest of the war and came home in one piece both physically and mentally and lived a long life, dying of old age on domestic soil. I personally knew many Jews who had the tattoos from concentration camps, so when AOC made that terrible comparison I immediately knew how wrong that was.

I don't really know how public school and academia affected you,and I noticed you didn't mention that influence at all. Not that I'm challenging your perception. My Dad retired from teaching HS shortly after the DoE was created; the government took over the schools and ruined everything. He took the first early retirement that was offered and had something like 2 years of sick pay, he had never used a day and had earned tenure twice. After retirement he stayed in contact with the NEA and it turned his brain into liberal mush; of course living in NJ contributed. It was really sad to watch that process. I remember asking him as a child what the difference was between Democrats and Republicans and he answered pointedly "I'm not sure;" this was sane and thought provoking.

The first thing that got me questioning the MSM narrative about DJT was a video directly comparing what he said vs what they said he said. It showed full context vs MSM sound bite. It was also the first I heard about Stephen Molyneux. That was a really well made video, but I've mostly ignored him since.

Congratulations on coming out of the web of lies! People here really do love truth. We're not interested in trying to get anybody to think like we do, but merely to take in the full scope of information and come to your own conclusions. That's about the furthest thing from Hitler imaginable, and it's be nice if more people noticed. But no, as a white male who's both straight and cis-gendered, I'm the worst thing on the planet. Even worse, I'm a Christian!? How dare I!! Never mind that I grew up poor, started supporting myself at 14, left home at 16, and worked my way out of poverty busting ass 100+ hours a week. I never oppressed anybody and often stood up for minority rights, stopped whole groups from going on drunken trips to go gay bashing (physically) and have respect and compassion for anyone trapped in a life of sin.

Yup, you have come to understand the world you live in beyond your years. The "stronghold on information" is something I can help you understand how it came to be, and why. I do think it's vitally more important to get your convictions straight with Christianity first though. Plus, God is clearly drawing you now! I urge you not to take that for granted.

Here are some observations that lead me to assert that we're not supposed to "check our brain at the door" when entering Church physically or embracing Christianity:

  1. theology literally means God's own logic. Jesus warns us over and over that just a little bit off and we're in for big problems. He repeats Moses' commandment to love God with all our MIND. That's just not possible when we unquestioningly follow, and His Disciples show us a good example of questioning, doubting, and being very fallible humans.

John's Gospel starts with the concept of "Logos," which is an intense study in itself. It's very much a Greek concept, and since it represents God's logical mind it appeals to our own sense of reason. "In the beginning was the WORD," that's logos. I urge you not to get carried away too far studying that just yet, but last I looked the wiki page was solid info and it might get you primed for a fresh start.

My only gripe with RC theology is it tries to explain everything; there really is some mystery, and that's where God has spoken to me most powerfully. RC theology is generally really good with giving historical background that adds understanding to many Gospel stories.

So this points to 'paralysis by analysis,' as you've stated being overwhelmed by so many versions. If you've got a KJV and a highlighter pen I'd suggest you're good to go and don't need to risk anything going shopping :) One of the 2 top touted modern versions is GW (God's Word) and it's on biblegateway. If you want to compare a passage in KJV to something else, I've never found much of a discrepancy but it may help by putting it in modern terms. The author of MSG says that the flowery language of KJV keeps us from applying the principles in the nitty gritty areas of life when we're not in our Sunday best.

  1. Christianity is, among other things, summarized in Scripture as bringing the Blessings of Abraham to everyone who believes on Christ. So, what was "the blessing of Abraham?" Apart from having a wife who was still hot well into her 60's, he was a good businessman. People got a good deal with him, he didn't rip people off. "Capitalism at its worst" is a phrase I coined long ago, and in some posts here we're exploring how we need to get away from that in this Country to MAGA.

More to the point though, he had to "leave the land of his Fathers and go to a place" God would show him. This is incredibly "keeping it real," as was a popular phrase not that long ago. In his day, you had nothing apart from what your father gave you. This is a good time for you to embrace leaving all the stuff from your past and let God show you what's True. Anything that was actually good He'll not only let you keep, but it'll get better; I promise :)

It'll help make loving God with all your MIND a joyful experience! It'll be refreshing and energizing. On a practical level there's abundant evidence that this improves our immune system, helping us fight off viruses and beating them better when we do get infected. "Herd immunity" is apparently ancient wisdom!

It takes a lot of learning to understand how this happened, but just know it IS real and you were the target of it, along with the rest of the US. All of western society, really.
