I look for quality American-made goods when I shop but other than trash cans I found at Home Depot there aren't many to be found. Even those that sport the "Made in USA " are just packaged here by Chinese surrogates .Both political parties are complicit in this subterfuge. Hopefully this Kung flu episode (which is overblown IMO) will open our eyes a bit but I'm not thathopeful.
Hopefully we'll have more options in the future. India, Taiwan, Thailand...if the one good thing that comes out of this mess is that we de-couple from China, that would be excellent. Hopefully people will start paying attention and demanding non-Chinese goods.
It comes from China because stuff from China is tax free while stuff made here has the cost of income tax installed in the price. China also doesn't have the pollution controls that American companies do and they don't have worker safety laws.

Makes sense because it's heavy to ship, but I'm curious what other product categories you guys have found that are best bought American?
What are the odds that we will just move from China to India or Africa? I think China is already getting a good foot in Africa to start producing crap from there.
