Yes and no. The fact is true, but consider society constantly spouting that white people have privilege (are better economically as a group).
I only point this out to suggest that the focus should not be on the correctness of the claim, both the above are true about black and white people, the focus should be to point out inconsistency- why is white privilege (a generality) allowed to be amplified and used to attack individuals but black criminality (a generality) is dismissed and considered racist?
Basically, leftists hide behind "it's just a fact" to spout off racism, i think pointing out their hypocrisy is a better strategy.
I saw people of various ethnicities wearing masks at the store the other day. Not once did I see a black person and think, "oh shit, I'm about to get robbed".
Now, if I saw anyone of any ethnicity wearing a mask while breaking into my house, then I would think, "oh shit, I'm about to get robbed." (Then they would become well-ventilated, but that's a topic for another discussion)
Hearing from inside DNC Playbook (never let a crisis go to waste)
Narrative will be as follows
African Americans are disproportionately affected
Trump leaves them high and dry and they need help (2k UBI, healthcare)
Southern states were “last to lockdown” and put in danger as republican governors and trump didn’t impose national lockdown
You can see these narratives forming slowly. This will be the MAIN storyline they go after and into November. They believe Biden’s chance rests 100% on the African American vote.

I'm attempting to make a greater point about consistency. Pointing out that it's a fact is a tautology, it doesn't consider motives and hypocrisy.

This is DNC directive
