Sorry, we agree on many of the points, but we differ where I think of the pain and the suffering of the victims. Look, I have emphasised with the perpetrator many times, cause believe it or not, I don't like suffering either - so NO I'm not a psycho - so I have to toughen up and remember the disgusting and horrific crimes that the perpetrators put the victims through. If they have to suffer, so be it. Hopefully it will deter others to not make the same mistake. I too think it's bullshit to pay for the room, board, medical care, pumping iron, studying law to find loopholes on the taxpayers tit. But a **little **bit of agony and pain before the bullet, fuck em, they deserve it all.
One example, there's an Aussie film called Snowtown about pedos and horrible murders. The neighbours and family were akin to a lynch mob and wanted to do terrible things to the perpetrator and I was horrified at what they wanted to do to them. I stop at cruelty, but a little bit of pain, just to teach them what it is like is fine by me.
What about ISIS beheadings and what they did to the King of Jordans son? They put him in a cage and burnt him to death. What about all the Yazidi women. Have some sympathy for them.
I'm pretty sure we do agree. And trust me, I will never become the monstrosity that I oppose. I've had ample opportunity, but it's just not me. I'm quite a softy in fact.

I do have sympathy for them - which is why I think the psycho perps should be put to death.
Advocating for the death penalty should be a solemn undertaking, reserved for the worst crimes such as those you've mentioned.
As far as deterrence goes, if the realization of death isn't enough to deter a crime, I don't know what is.
Like I said, wipe them from the face of the earth and move on.
