Try GIMP. It's free.

I’m not sure what they plan on using in the class, but there are numerous ways of making good memes. Surprisingly, Snapchat is a pretty good tool.

Check out my most recent post (the Alyssa Milano meme). I made that using Microsoft paint and Snapchat.

you will not need photoshop! everything you need will be using online tools, except for screenshotting. Most people already have that capability on their computer, but some people (like me) are riding around in computer rickshaws and do not have such fancy things. So the link in above comment was provided for a free screenshotting program just in case.

You won't need anything else, pede.

What could you possibly be using that doesn't have screenshot capability?

Nah, seriously. I'm trying to think of an OS in the past 20+ years that doesn't have screenshot capability built into the OS. Some Kubuntu variant or something?

spez: Sorry for bugging you while you're teaching class.
