When I think of Trump's American rise in America, it kinda reminds me of CS Lewis's analogy of Christianity (without equating Trump with Jesus):
Enemy-occupied territory---that is what this world is. Christianity is the story of how the rightful king has landed, you might say landed in disguise, and is calling us to take part in a great campaign of sabotage.
I suppose it is a call-to-arms and hopeful morale booster that A) we are a large tent movement, despite that some in the tent debt this and only see themselves and 'traitors' here, B) our roots took seed in the necessarily "alternative(s!)-to-Right wing" ethos if 2016 which, being risky and new, attracted many misfits from across 'thee spectrum' , eschewed many societal norms of good taste and group thinking and was held together simply by an appreciation of various aspects of 'The Wrst', a desire to defend that civilization and culture with at least a wall and stricter immigration guidelines and further appreciation of one Donald J Trump, multimillionaire as the prefect instrument to represent us and bring about the changes we do desired... and lastly C) intense animosity for The Culture Police, Smug Left, Regressive Left, 'SJWs', 'prig-progs', Establishment Media, DNC insiders, globalists, amoral, transgression obsessed metropolitan elite informing us that we were the most deplorable basket cases for steadily avoiding the central planning and school mixing that they themselves avoided. Etc.
Basically, seeing as the things that bind us together were relatively scant and yet tightly woven, and that we were free, as it were, to go about the rest of our God-given lives on any manner we w fit, I am wondering, do you all still think for yourselves and shun conformity?
No one here, perhaps not even the sun total of this site, reps the entities of 'this movement', & so, please note, I refrain from asking "can I... ('be' a certain way)?" Or, "do I have your permission to be contrary to vast swaths of Western culture over the last 100 years and still support Trump?" as, being a free-thinking Westerner by both and nature, asking permission to do what I think best certainly does ruin me against the grain.
I only place this bait upon the hook to test the waters and see how many similarly orphaned cultural studies enthusiasts are on the board at this time, if this day and this week.

Though we've seen a large show of exceedingly 'normal', holiday theme sweatered grandparents as of late, the Left is still as cold and racist and xenophilliac as ever and so, gladly, we trudge to our own Western hearts and cut our own path, even if in the dim shadow of large egoed pedantists and Balkanizatiin-naiviettes who have yet to take (or even hear of)..."the Clear Pill."

They are there and we are, well, I am at least, here. Thinking that any sub-group within the US would be able or likely to maintain control over 'their' 'region', in the unlikely event that their anarchist accelerationism was more fruitful that just being a Preble in the shoe of the current US government, and Pegasus a big enough distraction that China or other could succeed in Finlandizing say HK or another of our allies in the 'China Sea'. Etc.
Having been used as a tool, most unwittingly, I am sad to see the machinations of foreign intelligence services still afoot and taking people in. Rest assured, once the Judas Goats had fulfilled their function... etc. Slaughter. Like Stalin's endless, regressive purging of the assassins used in purging, and on and on.

I've never seen myself as counter culture. My forebearers made the culture. I see myself as a defender of order and the libertine ideals of the founders. I see the telecom corporations as plundering usurpers of heteronomy. I think they are tools of old world aristocrats that thrive on reducing people to infantile lemmings incapible of precieving the forces that motivate them.

Why? Because there is so much to American culture it isnt always clear what is counter and what isnt. Its also a perspective thing.
