It will be fine. Trump is only playing along because it distracts from what he's doing, and they are letting him because it distracts from how bad they are losing. We've already established precedent with 3m and gm. Also there will be amazing things now that the fed is under executive branch oversight, and not the other way around.
If it isn't worse now, it will be.
President needs to start taking charge and wresting control from the "not in my backyard" governors. NY needed 30,000 ventilators? Now they are saying that the hospitals have excess capacity because nobody is coming in with heart attacks... (that is from the NY Times) ... sounds not quite right. And all the test kits that were originally going to ship to the rest of the east coast were diverted to NYC and that is why many governors pushed the panic button on advice that the "three" diagnosed cases were really representative of 300 latent vector cases.
And they still haven't put a quranatine line around NYC so that the rich lib's can get to their houses in the hamptons and upstate, where they will "shelter in place" by infecting their housekeeper (probably low-income), the mailman, the dog walker, their kids private tutor, and the landscaper.
