Remember when Rick and Morty fans melted down like this in McDonalds over dipping sauce? I'm not saying those guys were all Bernie bros, I'm just saying my Bernie bro coworker has a Rick and Morty desktop background and mousepad and screams "pickle rick" unironically.
They're children. I gotta rant about this for a second.
Most of the leftists I know are very into comic books, cartoons, video games, and anything pop culture (latest Marvel movies, whatever TV show is popular, etc). A little bit of that stuff is fine, by all means... but I mean they are REALLY, REALLY into it. Like desktop backgrounds, and all of the Pop figurines, and wearing various licensed t-shirts every day, tattoos, etc. All of their waking time is devoted to devouring whatever the latest trendy thing is. Don't think for yourself; play this video game and binge watch this TV show instead!
Pop culture and marketing that is supposedly geared towards adults is very juvenile. I noticed this trend a few years ago and it's only gotten worse. For example, why are there grown-ass adults who are really into My Little Pony? Or all of the insane amounts of unicorn paraphernalia that is being pushed? Why are glitter shirts with attached capes available in adult large? Rick and Morty isn't for children per se, but it is very juvenile humor, and every millenial-aged leftist I know is a big fan.
Adults with minds of children = thinking with feelings = easily swayed to believe things like "kids in cages!" "voter suppression!" "orange man bad!!"
PS Acknowledging the irony of my username being TV-related. At least it was a clever show. Haha
I play a lot of videogames and even collect rare and expensive retro ones. I fucking hate rick and morty and a lot of the neo "gamers" who are into this cape shit crap. Some try and talk to me about marvel shit or new modern games like fps bullshit and i wish they would just fuck off. I dont have time to listen to you about your games, i have my own and theyre way cooler.
Did this copypasta actually originate from a Bernie bro? Seems way too overboard, but I wouldn't doubt it at this point lol.
