But but but why are people dying less but getting more infected?

Because quarantine is working, chloroquine is helping, viral load is being drastically reduced, and testing is increasing. All of these factors are why.

-The more we test, the more infected are discovered (false negatives exempt), the higher infected numbers go up.

-Viral load is like radioactivity. Doctors working 24 hour shifts interacting with infected after infected patient are hit MUCH MUCH harder than you picking up corona from touching a doorknob. Social distancing and quarantine reduces your viral load from being much higher than it normally would be.

-Contrary to the MSM enemy of the people, chloroquine DOES work, specifically on patients who are in severe condition on the verge of death. This is saving people from dying en masse in New York and around the world.

-Lastly, quarantine is keeping a massive load off the medical system. If you break quarantine, outbreaks happen, which then overloads hospitals.

All of these explain falling death numbers, increasing infected cases.

The one thing this does NOT fucking prove is "hey guys, lets go back to work, everything is fine!". The second millions of Americans do that, you fuck everything up. You WILL be killing more people if you break quarantine.

HOWEVER........................

The U.S. equivalent of a mask is your entire home. It's NOT practical, and it's NOT good for the economy obviously. The only way we can go back to work while still curbing the spread of this Chinese virus is to WEAR MASKS ALWAYS like all of China's neighbors do, year after year.

I'm willing to wear a mask (masks being literally anything covering your mouth, doesn't have to be surgical or N95) in public at all times or at work if it means we get to restart this economy.

THAT is the best option for our country, without putting more people at risk, and without putting our economy at further risk.

Is your savior Cuomo correct about keeping quarantine enforced too, now that he's singing a different tune? You can't have your cake and eat it too, either the guy is wrong or he realized he was wrong.

The wu flu deaths % are same as common flu.

If you disagree post evidence.

The wu flu deaths % are same as common flu

No, no it's not. How are you flu bros still around at this point? The flu argument was a March 1st argument that wasn't based off any evidence either. Now that the virus was escaped well beyond China, we see that China's % was close.

As of today, world average is 3%. In the U.S. the seasonal flu at it's WORST is 1%.

Idk where you shills get your info from but fuck me if it isn't from literally two months ago.

It is much lower than that once you factor in people who have it and were never tested and people who had it and never had symptoms.

-2
Eric-CIA-ramella [S] -2 points ago +2 / -4

And what about people testing negative 7 days into their 14 day asymptomatic infecting stage? That's part of the problem with this shit China created. You simply have to keep testing testing and testing.

The 14 day asymptomatic thing is very rare. I was just reading a study (I’ll try to find again) that says the median number cases symptoms within 5 days of infection.

Spez

From the study: There were 181 confirmed cases with identifiable exposure and symptom onset windows to estimate the incubation period of COVID-19. The median incubation period was estimated to be 5.1 days (95% CI, 4.5 to 5.8 days), and 97.5% of those who develop symptoms will do so within 11.5 days (CI, 8.2 to 15.6 days) of infection. These estimates imply that, under conservative assumptions, 101 out of every 10 000 cases (99th percentile, 482) will develop symptoms after 14 days of active monitoring or quarantine.

I'd like to see. From February 1st reports from China and Asia have been that the longest being a max of 14 day non-symptom spread. I fucking hate the WHO, but as of a few days ago even they finally admitted there is at minimum a "few days" of non-symptom spread:

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/06/who-says-the-coronavirus-can-spread-one-to-three-days-before-symptoms-start.html

Any time of non-symptom spread is more dangerous than the typical symptom spread of the seasonal flu.

I do every day guy. And I walk around and see all these lower middle class people in their yards, walking around, seeming like they enjoyed this forced vacation for a week, but now are antsy and ready for it to be over.

And then I thought per this post, the average American's mask IS their house. That's not a solution at all once quarantine goes beyond a certain point. Masks are an absolute if we want to go back to work.

Brickwell 4 points ago +5 / -1

The quarantine and social distancing was built into the projection models from the start. The numbers are simply far lower than predicted.

-4
Eric-CIA-ramella [S] -4 points ago +2 / -6

The numbers *now are far lower than predicted. This was going to happen if quarantine was enforced even for two weeks. Why do people take that as "it was all fake to begin with!".

This is like a cancer patient feeling better after chemo, then proclaiming "I never needed chemo to begin with!".

Need zinc with the meds, and earlier in treatment, not last lifeline. Doing this will reduce hospitalizations another 80%most likely if caught early.

Agree on masks and washing hands.

Now let's get back to work and get this bad flu behind us.

-5
Eric-CIA-ramella [S] -5 points ago +2 / -7

I agree, zinc is another great tip.

Concern trolls are fucking faggots. Also, we don't know if it's the social distancing and lockdowns that are preventing the spread- we should have followed the Swedish model (except for population dense cities). In any event, we are just kicking the can down the road- the virus isn't just going to magically disappear.

-4
Eric-CIA-ramella [S] -4 points ago +2 / -6

The Swedes aren't doing well, it's spreading like it started here at the start of March. And after two weeks of solid quarantine there is plenty of evidence to suggest it's working - all the posts here showing numbers are falling.

That's the stupidity of this global idiocy. The pandemic doesn't just go away because we stay in the house for a few weeks. Eventually, we have to come out, you know, to eat. You and others are advocating global starvation. On the bright side, we're going to count those all as Covid deaths right? That will keep this idiocy going even longer.

-3
Eric-CIA-ramella [S] -3 points ago +2 / -5

That will keep this idiocy going even longer.

Dems will make sure that happens, well into the next decade.
