The US puts more money into the WHO than anyone else right? The only reason they’re more beholden to China is because they know China will revoke funding and think they can piss on the US without it getting pissed and revoking support. Simple, unassailable truth: Any "global" organization not funded by the US disappears. All we have to do to get rid of the WHO, the WTO, the UN, NATO, etc, is to just leave. They will disband shortly thereafter. Just look what happened to the Paris Accords.
All they really seem to be is a platform denigrating the US. Like with the climate accords, everyone else pledged to do fuck all. They just used vague terms to pledge to ‘care’ about the environment, or in China’s case, to keep doing exactly what they’re doing and hope nobody notices because they put numbers to it.

I have no problem helping other nations, having strong alliances, trade deals, etc. But it’s our job to first and foremost have them benefit the US. That’s the point of our position in a deal. It isn’t our job to make sure we get the short end of the stick. It’s also their jobs to argue for their own position. The only reason we have a history of doing poor deals like that because other countries bribed our folks that represent us in those deals, or inversely, those folks sold us out to those countries for profit. In other cases, they just came in and bought our institutions because we don’t have safeguards against that. Just look at the CCP lady at Trump’s last hearing. China bought a Newspaper and now they’re given air time to spew propaganda to the fucking president and the American people. That’s a very, very easy thing they did to make that happen, and an equally easy thing to stop by banning foreign ownership of many things in the US, particularly the media.
