I'm trying my best, I just said Amen to a post sorted by hot and beginning to normalise using religious words. Chipping away bit by bit in my reluctance to let myself believe in anything beyond myself.
The most important thing is that you do the following:
Admit you are a sinner who deserves hell, and that you need a saviour.
Turn from your previous beliefs toward God and believe as a child in the life, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God. Trust only in Him for your salvation.
Get to know God and develop a personal relationship with Him by reading the Bible and praying.
Your own good works and righteousness is like dirty rags to the Lord. Please humble yourself and trust only in Christ for your salvation.
