Bernie made a deal with the DNC after Hillary won the 2016 nomination thanks to nearly 1000 super delegate votes.
In 2020, super delegate voters are not allowed to vote in the first round. This meant Bernie would have won the nomination had he won the popular vote.
Bernie may not have anticipated Bloomberg entering and staying in the race, or Warren and others staying in after they were mathematically eliminated, for that matter, until a popular majority was impossible.
If Biden drops out, all of his delegates essentially become super delegates in all but name only. In other words, they're free to vote for anybody and in the first round of voting.
Yes, the DNC has the right to make their own rules, as any political party should.
With that being said, the DNC changed their rules for 2020, or so Bernie thought before he got played by Bloomberg and $14M in Super PAC money to Fauxahontas.
Obama hasn’t said anything, because he knows they are going to switch him out soon.
I have 100's shares of hilldog on predictit that I bought when it bottomed out... show me the money!
Same!! If she runs again I’ll make a mint when she loses 😂😂
modify the phase variance
power overwhelming
...whoa sorry bigtime flashback triggered by your money-showing request.
Can they do that? Switch a candidate who didn't earn any primary votes? That would be unprecedented
You think democrats care about playing by the rules?!

Didn't the DNC argue in court that they "could pick whoever they wanted" and they "didn't have to let people vote at all"?
IIRC they won that case, meaning they do indeed have that power.

It certainly will let Democrat "voters" know who is in charge.
Huh...and if they hang on to the House...
Can Zero be Joe's VP?
No
