I go there for major news events when media all across the political spectrum is spouting a clearly fictional official story. E.g. the Gatwick airport drone incident. Also for major news events where some doxxing is necessary for intelligent discussion.
Not really /pol is overrun with tons of shills. Real conversations get buried by reposts. It's worse than Reddit in some cases.
But oh boy were the glory days sweet... HWNDU was endless fun
HWNDU was the most fun I have ever had on the Internet.
I was addicted to that shit when it came out. Season 2 was my favorite.
Explaining reeeeee to my wife was great
I understand REEEEEEeeee but never knew the origins
For those who either missed it or want to relive HWNDU, there's a 4-part summary/highlights video series on youtube about it:

You sir are a saint
I miss the Pol from before media matters/ctr/etc.
Yes, but 4chan is where "Joepedo" was created. They're never gonna live that one down.
Keep your filter on and up to date for the most recent bullshit and you can find some decent threads.
There have been some very interesting threads too, but those also become bombarded with ridiculous comments.
I browse /pol about once a month, and there is so much crap posted in there now it's hard to find the good content and a time waste.
