For those with heart issues, a doctor has used an alternative to azrithomycin with good results.
Doxycycline is good. Doxycycline hyclate is garbage. "Hyclate" form is a pill with 10% as much doxycycline, and an antacid to prevent stomach acids from destroying some of the drug. The form was invented a few years ago due to a shortage of doxycycline. In theory, this should have the same effectiveness, but it doesn't.
Source: have much experience self-medicating for crotch rot. Personally, I recommend Bactrim. Never fails to kill the shit those weak ass pills they give you at the free clinic won't.

Side note: Bactrim is not as overwhelmingly powerful as Z-packs, but it is broad spectrum, and researchers suspect (but have not yet proven) that due to the way it works it is impossible for bacteria to develop resistance to it.
