I dont understand this idea. Are they just assuming Joe will fail no matter what and theyll switch him out with Cuomo, that will also fail no matter what, to boost Cuomos future prospects? That's all I can think of. I cant think of any instance in history where the party switched the nominee with someone else after they won the primary. Seems super risky at this point in the election cycle giving rise to my original thought: bolster someone else for the next cycle.
