I like this but am finding personally those not in ICU at time of diagnosis recover fine but the ones that end up only starting treatment by the time they are already deteriorated and intubated sometimes die even before COVID-19 testing results.
I'd like to see a study where the patients are started on treatment only after shock, respiratory failure, and cytokine storm already kicks in.

It will not work very well, if at all.
If you're in shock and the treatment removes all traces of the virus, you're still in shock and your organs are shutting down.
In that case, you don't die from the virus, you die from the shock and organ failure.
In order to treat shock and organ failure, you need pills that heal shock and organ failure, and those do not exist.
It makes a strong argument for empirical treatment
