We should decide ourselves when we are opening back up and GIVE the government until that date to comply.

No more pussyfutting around "sometime in may" which becomes "Sometime in June" and "Sometime after the election." We shouldn't wait until it's too late, WE should be setting the deadline for the government to reopen.

Replace "go back to work" with "Go to church," "Go to the Park" "Fill the city streets in full protest."

We need only choose the date and make sure they know it.

It will be different for each area. I'm in Pittsburgh, and tentatively I intend to discontinue quarantine about April 30. Maybe sooner if the numbers look good!

I'm in Canada. Plan to start overtly disobeying next week. This is madness. It kills way less than thought. It almost exclusively kills very old people and people who already have serious illnesses. It is easily treatable with hydroxy and zinc. I hate our Prime Minister and am so ashamed our Premiere (Ford) has been such a cuck.

We have studies back now showing the Trump Pills to be nearly 100% effective. No need for any more of this buillshit.

This. Said it on a few other posts that we need to pick a date and advertise the shit out of it. Get it out there and tell these business owners that if everyone does it at the same time, the government's hands will be tied. They can't cope with massive civil disobedience and that includes protests at a local and state levels. Ohio has already started.

Because todays young men have never experienced a crisis bigger than the starbucks line moving too slow for them and everyone just does what they're told.

My business got listed as essential, but I never planned on heeding the government 'orders' anyway. If I needed permission to start my business, I would've asked years ago when I started. But I didn't because I don't need their permission to work. This is a free country as long as we decide it's free, and if we as a nation went to work in spite of the government, they can't just arrest hundreds of millions of people. Not armed people anyway. Keep your guns and your bible close.

Great point. We've given the Govt TOO much power. Time to take some back.

I haven’t taken a day off work since this got started. I can’t believe how many people are following the governments orders and letting their businesses go under.

It’s fucking retarded

Good for you (seriously). But a lot of businesses have no choice. For example I know handymen who haven't had a call in weeks. They even email their client list but crickets. No one wants an outsider in their house.

My brother is high up at his work and he is so disgusted because they said if you show any signs of potential Covid-19 you should stay home and quarantine for 14 days. So, tons of people are calling in with coughs and flu like symptoms so they can have two full weeks off to stay home and watch Tiger King

I'm essential, but I'd be willing to donate to the legal defense of anyone that wants to take their mayor or governor's diktat to court.

Bcz we have spent the last 100 years being subject to laws that protect the government and not the citizen. We permitted laws that penalize us from living life more than alienating those who break our lives.

We "rule".. if they say we can.

Well, maybe May Day can be the day Americans overtake communism and it is symbolic in that their holiday is the day we open our economy back up by working and let capitalism work it’s magic

Its insane what we're letting the government do!!! This will become a part of American life if we don't take it back

Yeah, what are they going to do? Arrest you for curfew?

We fined homeless for not social distancing up here in Canada. Land of retards. Good hockey players. But retarded nonetheless.

3
HockeyMom4Trump 3 points ago +3 / -0

I can’t believe hockey players are putting up with this BS. Hockey players and the NHL should be the example for everyone and yet they shut down the NHL. Heck, in the old days of hockey a player could be decapitated and still manage to score a goal and finish his shift.

Many of the small businesses where I live have remained opened, with the exception of bars that were specifically ordered to close. Larger chain stores are the ones that have closed down, no doubt by corporate orders.

Im an armchair political enthusiast, but if anyone knows how to start a real, actually politically actionable recall for Tim Walz if he doesnt open up MN...I will drive a long way to sign it. I feel like the only way out is to put pressure on them. If we dont have the numbers, then I guess we are wrong, but I dont think the government can shut down your livelihood. I think it violates life, liberty, and property all in one go. This is the closest to a police state I have ever seen.

HockeyMom4Trump 2 points ago +2 / -0

Gazelka asked Walz for the numbers/data he is basing his decisions on-seems like Gazelka is looking into this nonsense.

Minneapolis made the decision on April 2 to close all beaches and pools for the entire summer. Today St. Paul started taking down basketball hoops and tennis nets to keep two people from daring to play a tennis match, I guess.

In MN we have had 50 Covid deaths out of 5.7 million people. Median age: 87. During the shutdown, we’ve had 24 fatal car accidents. Wonder when Walz will ban cars?

I understand voluntary quarantine. I expected restaurants and cruise ships to take a hit. But I dont understand why an adult who consents to the risks or doesnt accept the premise of the risks, can be forced to obey orders that might cause loss of food, water, or shelter. I dont care about the virus anymore. I think we have 3-4 cures and a vaccine on the way. I wont go see anyone that doesnt want me, but I demand to be able to travel freely and patron any business that chooses to be open.

I’m in MN. Hockey season is over and they’ve locked the ice arenas. Today it snowed. If they don’t end this shelter in place soon I may have to convert my living room to a floor hockey rink.
