We know he can't can them, at the moment. I don't think I've seen much if any calls to such action.

We know he has to dance the game.

I have, somewhat facetiously. Maybe a couple of times dead seriously.

I think Trump has the goods to fire them right now, but he probably needs someone to come in and make the case, like Ben Carson, and a whole lot of people backing him up, which I'm not sure he'd get. There'd be a firestorm, a very distracting firestorm, that he's probably not going to want in the middle of this shutdown, when so many people still think we're in the middle of a terrible wave. It would be tough to fire them now, no doubt.

But I also think scuffi is a bit too optimistic. E.g., both Fauci and Brix already dealt with the bad models. They went for bullshit and largely got a way with it. The pulled a slight of hand, slyly attributing the much lower numbers than predicted to the mitigation efforts they've advanced. They did this, despite the fact that the bad models assumed those mitigation efforts. If they're pushed more, all they'll say is, "Well, our models didn't properly account for the dazzling mitigation success of the strategy that we designed. Aren't we brilliant!?"

As for HCQ, Fraudci still has an out. He's going to say there's still no well controlled study that "proves" HCQ works. Such studies are damn near impossible to get in situations like this. And, given one of those studies being done on HCQ right now used Vitamin C as a placebo in the control group, and might contain further scientific monkey business, it's very possible at least one of those studies comes back pretty muddy.

(I think these fuckers have been planning this out for a long, long time. And if you're among the more paranoid, like I am, they knew they had a problem with HCQ getting in the way of their vaccines. Hence, they might have set up a sabotage study.)

I doubt there will be any hanging out to dry. When Trump moves to reopen our society, they'll resign in protest, go out on cable TV, and bash Trump. So, he's going to have to make the same case he would have to make today if he fired them at that time. But, he has an advantage latter on that he doesn't have right now. He's reopening the economy. At that point, many, many people, and not just Trump supporters, will breath a sigh of relief. Finally, it's over! This will make it easier for him to deal with Fraudci and Trix trying to smear him.

So, yes, I think it's probably better for him to wait, for that reason, but I don't think Fraudci and Trix are going to be exposed so easily.

Lol. I agree that it looks painful for them. It's like they're itching to scream, Orange Man Bad! The little gestures. The passive-aggressive remarks on CNN, MSNBC.

Whatever happens, it will be entertaining.

As long as the numbers are improving and they have to keep correcting their models they are fine. Fauci and Birx are figureheads of the Coronavirus task force and to remove them would just cause unrest. Once President Trump decides to re-open the country, he can get rid of them then if they disagree. For now, stay the course because its working.

Trump doesn't have to fire anyone at this time. All he has to do is get the virus under control and form the next COVID-19 task force for jump-starting the economy and render the virus boys and girls irrelevant and in the background. The new task force will force out the old. When this blows over, he redesigns the CDC and puts in who he likes.

Swamp creatures gonna swamp. Trump will open it back up with or without them. He is paying attention. I have all the faith. I think we can all agree it won't matter who, what , when or where DJT opens this thing up, he will get hammered by the media. It doesn't matter what he does to them. Not worth debating. "Sooner than later" has my support. Hand it to the Governors to do the work for their states. Let's get back to business.

Good post, I hate that moron and what he is doing to the econom, but we need him there for political reasons. Remember, this isn’t a job depression, this isn’t a brain drain.

Our economy sucks because of a blip, the recovery will be epic and Trump can take all the credit.

If you’re doing well, go to a vacation in a Conservative city and spend TONS of money there when things open up.

My fiancé and I are planning Nashville then Charlotte the second we’re able. And we be tipping BIG.
