This is a moot point. Chloroquine and Hydrochloroquine have been used on many, many covid-19 patients at this point and there is a significant and growing body of evidence that it works.
Truly, my question is: if we knew this since the beginning why nothing has been done earlier ?
Also, if the similarity between the two viruses is striking, why do we need further evidence ?
