Growing up I had a dream of going to Europe. From a very young age I was enthralled with WWII and that got me looking into European countries which got me learning about their cultures. I so wanted to go see all the amazing architecture and experience each country’s own unique culture. I would look at magazines, books and anything with a European landscape and just imagine what it would be like to be there myself.
Then I grew up and realized that while I was dreaming of all this Europe was being changed and no more were countries allowed to be individual and independent. That mass migration was making each country a shell of what it had been.
I wanted to see Italy the way the Italians had made it, not littered with “migrants” from “Asia” and a bunch of Chinese people. If I wanted to see that I would go to their respective countries.
