I don't think Trump is unaffected by what people say about him. I am sure it does hurt particularly when it is coming from people who he was friends with before he dared to challenge Obama's legitimacy to be president and eventually run for office himself. The thing is Trump doesn't let that intimidate him and change course. He's firmly resolved to do what needs to be done to save this country no matter what he has to go through.

A fair point, but I don't think it hurts him anymore; I think he is now just disappointed. He's a decent mn, and so many around him are not.
