Trump did say he'd gladly take all the slings and arrows for the movement

56
MAGAlikeLINCOLN 56 points ago +57 / -1

He will wear them as a badge of honor

24
I_LUV_WINNING 24 points ago +24 / -0

I 100% believe when Trump says he wants to return the power back you us, the American people, because for far too long us/we/ you and I have been lied to for the past 40 years. The Great Awakinening is upon us, 2020 will be a year that will never be forgotten.

I thank god for trump every day.

5
the_sky_is_falling 5 points ago +5 / -0

The reason I believe this is because this is exactly what he was saying back in the early 90s when Oprah interviewed him He's been saying this for more than 30 years now - that America's allies are taking advantage of this country and the American politician is letting them

29
everylastjuan 29 points ago +29 / -0

And those slings and arrows are meant for us. The deplorable commoners. They don't hate Trump from a personal standpoint (they liked him before he ran for president), they hate what he stands for. They hate good, normal people.

Because they are not.

Brownwaterboys 12 points ago +12 / -0

Trump has forced them to finally take their masks off and show their evil. Finally the normies are waking up.

nothingberg 6 points ago +6 / -0

Because America has given him so much. Don't forget that part. It brings a tear to my eye every time

I'd follow the man to hell. And, in all honesty I see a civil war by mid 2022 should 2020 be stolen. We've seen the lefts version of riots. There may be a whole lotta "hold my beer" 's going on.

27Sandino 66 points ago +66 / -0

This is almost perfect except for the very last word, there are better more fitting words to sum him up. Manliness, courage, leadership, anything but shameless.

39
MAGAlikeLINCOLN 39 points ago +42 / -3

I like it because fuck connotations. Embrace he spin and wear it as a badge of honor. The point is that tradition and other people's sensibilities can get in the way of doing what's right.

If you can be honest without offending someone, great. Still, if the only way to fight the fake news or the demonrats is by breaking a few eggs... in that case, being an asshole is a virtue. And being shameless is courageous. It is hard for someone to let go and completely stop caring what people say about them. Pettiness can also be a virtue if you are petty about the right things for the right reasons. I'm not advocating unethical behavior. I'm saying you can't be honest without sometimes being an asshole.

Nixon wasn't as strong as Trump. If you watch his post-presidency interview though, like me, your opinion might be that he probably didn't do anything wrong even though a few people in his party did. I heard he had a good quote that went something like, "If you're not controversial, you don't stand for anyhing."

I think that is why the author of the post picked that word and I like it!

That's a pretty good take

11
WinstonSmith1984 11 points ago +11 / -0

fair enough

26
OneOfMany_MAGA 26 points ago +26 / -0

Trump has nothing to be ashamed about. Quite the opposite.

11
MAGAlikeLINCOLN 11 points ago +12 / -1

In clown world everything is the opposite

Impeachment is good when it is the corrupt establishment that impeaches you. I would be worried if he wasn't impeached

Fake news attacking you means you're honest. I would be worried if clown news network was pro-Trump

Being called a racist now generally means you're pro equality instead of institutionalizing racism by having the law and companies be forced to treat you differently because of your skin color. Same with sexism etc

Going to jail for lying to cops (Flynn) means the cops lied about what you said and you refused to lie about someone else.

Fuck I thought I was redpilled years ago but I only learned recently that witness intimidation can simply mean defending yourself publicly against public slander. I will reserve judgement from now on about a person's character even if I hear they were convicted of witness intimidation because if people elected to congress can call Trump's tweet witness intimidation then it means nothing anymore.

Trump is a hero. There has been at least one more person in history who had it as hard as he has it now.

Media is lying about both of them.

6
Everquest4Life 6 points ago +6 / -0

You owe it to yourself to read Dale Carnegie. He’s an all time legend for good reason. Very readable and just overflows with honest, salt of the earth American wisdom. How to Make a Friends and Influence People.

Key: be interested in others. You will notice how much Trump embodies this.

Also a side note Pede, you’re the only you and that’s special. Sounds Mr. Rogers, but I’m not wrong. Speak to yourself as you’d want a loved one or best friend to speak to you. Don’t be fooled into thinking that the “thinking you” is really you. That’s just your thoughts. You’re you. Treat yourself well. And hey, smile, fake it til ya make it!

2
sackofwisdom 2 points ago +2 / -0

Also worth noting that you might not be good enough where you currently are. Self esteem is something you earn by hard work. The results speak for themselves.

Everyone has badass potential in them, but in their current state they may be a loser.

13
Fabius 13 points ago +13 / -0

The enemies of Fabius thought they had sufficiently humiliated and subdued him [...], but they mistook the temper of the man, who looked upon their derision as nothing of concern, like the great philosopher Diogenes, who of being told that some people were mocking him, answered, "But I am not mocked." meaning that you can only be insulted if those insults make an impression upon you.

So Fabius, with great tranquillity and unconcern, continued upon his course, therefore proving the age old maxim that, "A virtuous man who is just and good, is not capable of being dishonoured." - Plutarch's Lives, Fabius Maximus

I don't think Trump is unaffected by what people say about him. I am sure it does hurt particularly when it is coming from people who he was friends with before he dared to challenge Obama's legitimacy to be president and eventually run for office himself. The thing is Trump doesn't let that intimidate him and change course. He's firmly resolved to do what needs to be done to save this country no matter what he has to go through.

9
WinstonSmith1984 9 points ago +9 / -0

A fair point, but I don't think it hurts him anymore; I think he is now just disappointed. He's a decent mn, and so many around him are not.

4
Sneker 4 points ago +5 / -1

The measure of a man is how many cuts it takes to divert you.

Ah, young caterpillar, I understand.

As an elder Pede, I am blessed to have seen JFK. He turned me onto the Deep State and it's... motivations and capabilities. He also, died for us.

I am blessed to be alive now, to see THIS Man now. There has never been a time when I didn't say "shit, I could do a better job than This guy.". Til now... I am constantly in awe. This is the timeline I've been praying for my whole life. Let's not miss it. God bless us all.

I agree with everything written here, except the last sentence. Trump isn't "shameless," he just doesn't give a fuck about anyone that disrespects him. He takes that disrespect and flings it back at them with 50% interest.
