Great example of my Elvis Presley Theory: 20 years after his death about 12% of people thought he could still be alive. On any issue, there will be 12% loons that don't care about facts or reality. So I figure there are 12% loons on the Left and the Right and the remaining 76% in the middle could come to an acceptable agreement on every political issue. Unfortunately, "76% of people agree" doesn't get clicks but "Look at those loons" does.
