Luckily I’m not part of that portion. I’m a PT in an acute hospital in NJ and I can tell you based on personal experience it really isn’t that bad. The healthcare workers (usually RNs) that are having visceral reactions to any negative claim are just gaslighting; they’re enjoying the limelight and having everyone applaud them as they go to work while it gets plastered all over social media. (I’m not saying they shouldn’t be applauded, but A) not every nurse is on a Covid floor and b) pandemic/outbreak response is kinda part of the assumed liability I.e annual flu season)

What bothers me is that staffing has been reduced at regular clinics where now you can't even get your regular care.
For example, they are currently considering trigger point injections "elective" even though it has been my alternative to drugs like muscle relaxers for 8+ years to treat severe muscle tension headaches that last days without treatment.

Hell yeah. I own a small business in Illinois and I don't care what Lumpy our Governor says I am open May 1. At that point I will have lost in gross revenues 1 and 1/2 times what I pay myself and my staff for the entire year. I appreciate all first responders, hospital staff and workers at "essential" business that seems to include pawn shops and liquor stores. That said I have lost patience with the sappy commercials glorifying them and not noting that people with little businesses like mine have voluntarily donated tens of thousands of dollars each to this thing. So wrap it up....get it done...I am going back to work and if you are some cuck who wants to tell me that I am stupid and selfish for doing so remember one thing. I am a small business with years of success in my community and I didn't get that way by being selfish and stupid.

I'm in Michigan. You can't buy paint or flooring materials or gardening supplies/plants, but pot shops and fast-food are open. Ummmmm... Now we can't even take boats to the boat launch or visit second residences we pay taxes on. This is bullshit.

I can sadly also say that liquor stores are essential due to the number of people with alcoholism who would be hospitalized if their booze got cut off

All that's happened is spread has moved from the street to the home. Because you cant deliver everyone's food people still have to go outside. So when everyone goes to the shops you are at a same risk as you were at work. Since it seems to have a long period where it's still in the body you would need to buy enough food for a month. In a big family that is impossible.
Take over factories and have them pump out everything a citizen would need. Plastic gloves and masks. Make them day and night so all Americans have a supply.
