Just watched a movie yesterday on Shudder called The Wailing. It's about 150 minutes long and it's a supernatural thriller set in a small South Korean village called Gokseong. Not to try and spoil anything in it, the movie has underlying Christian themes sprinkled throughout the film, with a police detective trying to figure out why so many people in Gokseong are committing horrible murders and then killing themselves. It's a real good film, and the set up for the ending really captures an Old Testament allegory about faith.
You have to read subtitles throughout the whole thing, but its worth a watch.
That makes sense because of roman-Catholic Saint Kim Taegon Andrew and a significant percentage of South Korea is Christian.
