I hate to say this but the LEFT is clearly giddy that "Easter worshippers" cannot easily gather to celebrate Easter. Moreover they try to portray us as exclusionary and unwelcoming.
But even in the first few verses of Matthew 1 we learn about the spirit of inclusion and welcoming that was the Savior's life and infuses the love of Christian communities. When Matthew recounts the genealogy of Jesus, one might expect that he would reach back to Abraham (as he does) to establish lineage.
But that is not all that Matthew does.
In verse , he goes out of his way to point out that "David begat Solomon that had been the wife of Uriah"? Why mention Rachab the harlot? These were not the "right" ancestors to have. If anything, this part of his heritage was a scandal to be swept under the rug. But that's not who we are. We embrace all who will accept His will -- or who will sincerely try, though all fall short of his glory.
Blessings to all, pede or future pede, on this unusual Easter!
They can be Giddy all they want, they been trying to get rid of God since the beginning of time. Always crush themselves on the anvil of God's Word that liveth and abideth forever.
