Been saying that since early March.

The only thing we could say for certain is that we were seeing an uptick in successful testing. Nothing more. Nothing less.

We don't know who patient zero is. We don't know when the virus began. We don't have a clue as to how many total infections there have been including asymptomatics.

As a citizen this has been frustrating, but as a data scientist this has been absolutely fucking INFURIATING. Watching colleague after colleague fail to point out this basic reasoning has made me question my entire profession.

Further we don't know not because it is unknowable, but because the CCP took action to hide the virus, and then used their paid stooge in the WHO to spread their message.

Also you're not wrong, 99% of data "scientists" are hacks with a bare minimum understanding of basic statistics. The field is a gold rush that unqualified people are running into.

I never had to take a statics class in college and even I know the data is shit and the models are based on more shit.

All I know is 2+2 DOES NOT EQUAL 5, but everyone for some reason wants to accept that it does and call me a heretic for questioning the "experts". Where is the 1?

Great comment. Wish could upvote more. Your reasoning is sound, logically valid and well grounded yet it is not accepted by the media, it is currently being banned, removed and labeled fake news.

This is as close to insanity the media has ever gotten

Spez: also to echo your point, if the exact seed date in the US had been known, and testing assymptomatics had been done (nov), that data would have drastically flattened the original IHME doomsday curve and the assymtomatics who tested would have proven that recovery rate was extremely high. The fact that the IHME did not take this into account, is downright alarming

Right? You think 'scientists' or 'doctors' or 'judges' should be held in high esteem... until you watch them flop when professionalism is most needed.

billions are spent on a pandemic and, already nearing the end, we don't have an accurate estimate of the lethality, time to live in air and surfaces or accurate r0. (all terms I learned at the beginning of this virus to find out if I should be worried)

I’ve HAD IT with these so called experts. As a recent graduate of high school (10 years ago) I knew the lack of education in schools, the amount of teachers constantly pushing thru kids who were unable to count their own fingers (I watched one girl literally bring her disgusting whore of a mom in every single test she failed and literally YELL at the teacher in the middle of class til the teacher passed her, they finally had to kick her out of calculus for being so retarded and the teacher had tenure and couldn’t give a fuck about her) would come back to bite us in the ass one day. Sure enough, all these “experts” on TV are just as dumb as that girl, but had everything handed to them their whole life so they just waltzed into these positions. I’m not even a data expert, but as a medical technologist, listening to these idiots talk about antibodies and vaccines and transmission rates is, you put it best, INFURIATING.

This well sourced article, is being removed from Facebook and was removed from Medium.com. Archive link:

The Curve is Already Flat: https://archive.fo/PPwJq, China has been lying since the fall. And a “Mysterious Flu-like Illness Arrived in the US in Nov 2019”.

The hypothetical COVID curve we are trying to flatten — is based on assumptions about when COVID was brought to the country. When did the COVID curve begin? China went to great lengths to hide the existence of COVID by censoring communication about the disease and ordering lab samples destroyed. They lost control of the narrative on 30 December when two physicians, one of whom has died and the other who has since disappeared. China then reported an ”unknown pneumonia” to the WHO on 31 December. During and before that time, asymptomatic carriers were rapidly spreading the virus throughout Wuhan, one of the most densely-populated, internationally-connected cities in the world and beyond. China did not release the RNA sequence required to create a COVID test until 12 Jan. The virus had already spread so far by that time that the first confirmed case outside China was discovered in Thailand the very next day. Two months elapsed between the date China claims COVID originated and when the test sequence was made available. That means there were at least 60 days of undocumented spread of a highly transmissible, often asymptomatic virus.

It always was. Whatever they're planning is so freaking Huge that they're willing to do some heinous shit to keep the plan going. Lucky for us it seems to be a plan hatched by only a handful of people. Handful being a 'relative term' meaning a few Thousand at best while the rest who support them think it's just about their Money and securing Revenue Streams and .... most importantly....Staying Out of Jail.

Little do they know!!!

I hardly ever get sick, working in a hospital has made me be very aware of shit like this and I sanitized myself every time I saw a dispenser. But last September I got some sort of respiratory bug that made me wheeze and hardly breathe for three days. Not saying this was covid-19 but... idk anymore.

I'm willing to bet they wont make the antibody tests overly available. Finding out millions of people already had this over the course of the last 4 months will really make this shutdown look uncalled for.

Good article.

Serology tests for antibodies might help confirm.

Guess what has to happen is for diagnostic tests to get incredibly cheap, so that doctors are more likely to use them whenever someone presents with flu like symptoms. Then maybe they'll know WTH they're dealing with.

proDeoEtPatria [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

Agreed. What’s different with the handling of this pandemic is that the healthy and assymtomatics were told that they were carriers and possible transmitters. Hence every single able bodied & healthy American being put under house arrest and bankrupting businesses.

This is such a dangerous precedent, to penalize the healthy despite an extremely low death rate amongst the healthy.

If infected assymptomatics can prove the death rate is lower than influenza, these IHME extreme measures will show to have been an over reaction and will prove that interactions between healthy people does not spike the curve and social distancing for assymtomatics is bullshit.

Can someon explain to me what kind of site medium is? This is not the first article I've seen removed from medium that goes against the narrative.

8
MichaelHall1 8 points ago +8 / -0

Medium.com is on the left side of the political spectrum. It was created by one of the founders of Twitter. It's intended to be Twitter, but with more characters. Like Twitter, content is user-supplied and so not all Leftist.

I swear, every single article with sourced information like this that gets posted to medium is removed by the time I go to read it. Fortunately 2016 taught us to archive everything

Holiday travel moved it everywhere.

My whole house, everyone at work, and even my kids school bus driver caught the "flu" in december (Im in CA)

Ironically boss came back from China Dec 1 and we all got sick 2 weeks later.

This story stacks a lot of presumptions.

My kid thought he might have COVID-19, too. It turned out to be Influenza A. The only reason he knows this is because he insisted on being tested. During this entire epidemic in California, Symptomatic people being tested for CIVID-19 are running 20% of total.

There is absolutely no reason to presume every symptomatic person in the US had COVID-19. That is wishful thinking.

Thanks for exposing this

The Morozko Forge is the world's first ice bath to maintain freezing temperatures in crystal clear, chlorine-free waters. It facilitates daily practice of cold water meditation for building antifragile, psychological resilience.

What even is this fucking source?

False. if it was here in November new york would have hit 700 deaths a day in January

Flattening in NY now too.

Stop the Spread worked.

Trump and Pence are heroes. Saved millions of lives.

5
proDeoEtPatria [S] 5 points ago +6 / -1

Did you read the article fren? “Stop the spread” is a fancy for “forced confinement”. Plus it was imposed late March. If the virus seed date was Nov, the spread has been going for 4 months, prior to forced confinement. Still putting ASSYMPTOMATIC Americans under house arrest while we are at the bottom of the curve is ridiculous. If NewYork had actually started testing 100,000 people in Nov, the infection peak would have registered 4 months prior and the 20,000 usual Influenza deaths that the CDC recorded in Jan/Feb would have been coded as Covid no doubt.
