NY Times and the media in general are great reminders that capitalism works. We don't support these shit house rags, and they are seeing their fortunes flushed down the toilet.
The new masters of the media are foreign governments and global corporate interests, and they use the media as a mouth piece for whatever they need said in a given news cycle. Revenue doesn't matter. Sales of papers don't matter. That is why we see the bullshit in the news we see now. It is all about serving their masters with the infinite bankrolls by steering mass opinion - bombs, cars, drugs, makeup, financial scams, government handouts, and concessions. Different interest groups battle it out as the need arises by shoveling money into the media inferno for a time.
Show me a paper or TV channel that make the majority of its revenue off of its readers/viewers and I will show you Real News.
China be like "fortunes being flushed down the toilet? No problem, we got you fam. Here's an unlimited revenue stream from our government in return for anti-Trump stories."
Yeah, I mean, what you say can be true and what I say can also be true. There are foreign governments handing stories to reporters; handing endowments to universities; setting up "conferences" around their interests and paying speaker fees and travel expenses to journalists and academics alike to pimp their viewpoint. The same way that corporations and industries do, but with the interests of a foreign nation, rather than, for example, the cattle growers or missle makers of America.
