The whole shutdown was based on lies. The "models" are BS as the real numbers show. Let's restore the economy.

Before anyone cucks about the shutdown being responsible for the low numbers, the higher death tolls were predicted with quarantines and social distancing already accounted for.

Spez: Suck it

Truth. The models accounted for social distancing and quarantines. Trump's claim that social distancing is working is also true, but the original numbers were still highly inflated. THIS is what caused the panic. THIS is what caused us to burn down the economy. All on a lie. Trump is playing it to the best of his advantage and winning.

What's said are all the users on here who are either shills, or those so caught up in revising history that they're trying to do it live, right now.

Either that or serious incompetence, there isn't a door number 3.

The redeeming factors are that Trump errored on the side of caution, did not bypass the States and mandate shutdowns and has been a complete total boss procuring all the shit needed and not putting up with any BS, getting on the phone himself to handle anything needed.

Having said that - I agree that he now needs to erect a big middle finger and this week set a reopen date that is not even as far out as May 1.

Even if there's some truth to it, the fact that they didn't expect to drop 140,000 deaths within a couple weeks shows how little they actually know.

A model with 4 variables and they are off by 20x, so we are supposed to belive their climate change models with thousands of variables (with initial conditions that can't be measured) is more accurate?

I remember hearing about global warming in a Ninja Turtles book as a child. About 30 years later, every warning I've heard has failed to happen in the timeframe it was supposed to.

My theory is they knew this was an engeineered virus that supposedly had zero herd immunity, therefore 2 million dead, but to their (and Bill Gates') surprise, this virus got out of the lab in September (or the bat got loose). Either way, it's just another flu now.

Current US CDC FLU Numbers to date 24,000 dead (In 2018 we have 80,000 die from the FLU)

1,303,970 Tested nationally, 247,785 tested positive and 24,000 died

9.68% of everyone testing positive of the flu died this year

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm

Current US COVID 19 Numbers to date 14,696 dead

1,562,201 Tested nationally, 257,986 tested positive and 14,696 died

5.69% of everyone testing positive of COVID 19 died this year

I think that is using cdc estimates for flu death compared to actual confirmed tests, though i would be interested to see how those numbers actually line up.

ya good call. same presice applies. Both diseases see people only getting tested if they show severe symptoms.

jomten 2 points ago +2 / -0

I wouldn’t doubt it. If im just feeling a little sick i just hunker down at home and get over it. I only go to a hospital if I think death is possible.

Nope my number above is actual to death ratio. What got us in this trouble they claimed that Covid19 was 10x more lethal than the flu. the problem is did what you just pointed out. Flu estimates to death ratio compared to Covid actual to death ration.

That is why I am showing this number. The estimated flu contracted is in the range of about 60,000 million

Forgot to add thee CDC standard for Covid deaths as of March 24th may also impact the rise in deaths attributed.

Here is the source from the CDC but it was just said by Dr. Birk in the White House briefing

This is remarkable. Dr. Birx says here very plainly that anyone who dies “with COVID-19” is being counted as having died from COVID-19. She admits this is a “liberal approach” to recording mortality.

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvss/coronavirus/Alert-2-New-ICD-code-introduced-for-COVID-19-deaths.pdf The CDC guidelines instructed physicans to declare a Covid death when the deceased had tested positive or ASSUMED to have died from covid.

· Pneumonia deaths in NewYork= Covid even if not tested.

· Asthma deaths, bronchospasm= assumed covid

· COPD death= covid

· Emphysema= covid

· Bronchitis= covid

· Influenza A and B = assumed covid

· Sepsis or any kind= Covid

We can sort this out afterwards if the above cause of death all dropped massively versus previous years. Flu deaths are way down to 24,000 versus last year 61,000 and last year was a very long season that went out past April.

We just don't know if this is killing the same cohort as the flu or if they are being counted in the Cover 19 deaths or if the flu this year happened to have dropped off sharply from previous years for some unknown reason.

Also remember if you believe the danger of this please go out and buy life insurance. Also note they still sell it and rates have not gone up???

What do the actuaries know that the politicians and reporters don't?
