arent curfews the woke way to prevent chimp-outs without looking "racist"?

5

At least you can cross the street to avoid urban youth now and not be 'racist' because of 'social distancing'

The drones are in place already? I saw when laws were passed preventing you from shooting drones down. I knew it was to protect the government.

What do the drones do to "tell you?"

Beaches are closed, boardwalks are closed.

wouldnt it be more proper for anti social distancing to spread out everyone's shopping over the full 24 hours?

Status is :

In need of an army of lawyers to sue all of these states for overreach.

We are not subjects.

MASS civil disobedience first. Get the government's attention and get their goon squads on camera for the nation to see. Just 25+ people who refuse to go along can be a real problem for local cops because most just don't have the manpower on any given shift to deal with that. They also won't call in other agencies unless it turns violent so it'll just be a small handful of them. The more cops they bring, the worse the optics look for them and they know that. Local politics is the easiest thing to influence if you can get enough people working with you.

We have a large flotilla set up to go to our favorite sand bar/beach. We'll have about 38-45 boats. The bar we are going to has been closed down by the state. DGAS.

We are not going to distance, we are going to anchor just prior to sunrise. Go on the beach, hold hands, and have a sunrise service. Then fellowship as the day goes on. I hope the poh-poh shows up. We have lots of cameras.

This BS charade needs to end. Now. Get off your couch, stop watching netflix, and get out and represent. Unless we do this, we are doomed to be herded like sheep.

God bless you Florida Pede! Prayers that everyone stays healthy and strong and you have a peaceful and uneventful day. My family will be enjoying a delicious Easter lunch, then taking a nice drive up to a local lake, getting out of the car and going for a walk around the lake to enjoy the scenery and hopefully see some Bald and Golden Eagles. And pray and contemplate the Lord’s glory in gratitude that He is Risen on this Easter Sunday.

We'll be fine. We do not fear death. We are with Him. He is life.

It's time for us to make a stand. This BS needs to end, now.

I love our bald eagles! One day I got to look down on one in mid-flight, as I was on solid ground. I will never forget that experience. Not likely to be able to repeat it, either.

It circled from high overhead, and as it was level with me it got to within maybe 20 feet. An eagle is a fearsome bird!

I guess it depends where you live. Blue urban areas with lots of poor/minorities are seeing the most covid. I don’t mind letting this go till the end of April where I live. But the goal of shelter in place was bend the curve so hospitals not overwhelmed. If I need to go to hospital for anything I don’t want to be in the middle of a shitstorm. If numbers show leveling off, time to start opening it up. It will be done on a case basis I think. If blue states want to fudge numbers and classify every death as covid they will have to deal with bad results as red areas return to normal. Just don’t let people from blue shitholes into your state bringing disease with them.

Razeontherock 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah, I think opening up in phases based on population density makes sense. We could easily do this too fast and have a second wave spiral out of control. Let the city slickers hide longer.

Most of the Country is huge Counties with 0-10 infected people per County. These could be opened up immediately. Along with everybody who's recovered no matter where they are; they're virus-free and immune. No risk.

2
Phins360_FL 2 points ago +3 / -1

Flatten the curve you say? No, that was the catalyst to push the sheep. We were fine. The bug had been here probably since November. What's the latest revised death toll, like 60K, like less than the flu? Trump believes experts. That's what he does. Unfortunately he has yet to learn the lesson of DC - 95% there are against him still. I'm pissed. They took advantage of his genuine trust and compassion for his fellow man. That tells me all I need to know about "them". Must be crushed. Ground into dust. The mill stone has much work to accomplish.

Let's see what they do come 24 April. That's the beginning of ramadan. We have a few mosques in our area. Will be interesting to see if they are shut down now wouldn't it?

2
GBA4ever 2 points ago +2 / -0

Lots of mosques here. We’ll see how it’s handled. I’m somewhat motivated by self interest and concern for my family and friends. I’m sure a lot of what the local complicit media is saying about the “crisis” at hospitals is exaggerated. Like i said I don’t want me or loved ones caught in a shitstorm if we need hospitalization for anything. Personal experience it was already screwed up. Elderly patients moved out of hospital too soon to make room for expected covid crush. They died. Don’t believe the crush happened. We’re willing to wait it out till the end of the month. But other areas can open sooner. Just don’t let people in from blue areas bringing disease with them. The goal never was to keep everything shut down till covid is gone. It was to avoid crushing healthcare facilities.

zuccherina 3 points ago +3 / -0

Have you seen the craziness in Michigan? Our hospitals, even in Detroit, haven't hit max capacity and won't be.

2
Phins360_FL 2 points ago +3 / -1

it was never going to crush the facilities my friend. Look at the number of infected versus the actual number of hospitalizations. Good grief we are furloughing docs, nurses right now.

Listen if you want to hunker down and be safe to protect you and your family - that is your call. I totally respect it. However, don't impose that on me and mine. Get it?

Well, there's a clever trick. You can't do anything outside your house, because on the chance that you need assistance, probably a more remote chance than even contracting COVID-1984, which is already very remote, it would violate "social distancing rules". Holy fuck. How much longer are we going to put up with this.

Well, Mr. Trooper, maybe you should go home then and give up your paycheck?

I have long been a defender of police officers, but like others have pointed out, it's astonishing to see how readily they're enforcing the anti-constitutional dictates of tyrant governors and mayors.

7
sustainable_saltmine 7 points ago +7 / -0

yeah youd think cops would have some sense of right and wrong and know when they're being told to openly violate Constitutional law

6
Nellie_the_Beaut [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yep! We live in a small town, I know a lot of the cops, many of whom grew up here. But they’ve made it clear that if anybody’s out strolling around in one of of the parks or hiking on state or federal land or out on a boat on one of the many lakes this weekend (and thereafter) they will not hesitate to fine us or haul us into the cracker box local jail. Welcome to California!

It is not legal to quarantine the healthy. When your rights are infringed:

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/42/1983

I would urge you to go about your business. Respecting social distancing, maybe even trying to maintain more than 6' where possible. But to do what you want to do anyway. There is NO legal basis for this bs. The lawsuits are gonna be lit!

I haven't seen any of the craziness others report. In WI we have a "safer at home" order, which is distinct from "stay at home."

One thing I haven't seen anybody else talk about, today I learned that in Milwaukee they have been spraying in the middle of the night from big trucks. Reminds of the vids we saw from China. Everybody's reacting poorly to it. I hope it's designed to kill the virus on surfaces, rather than do harm to people.

2
Nellie_the_Beaut [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

What’s in that spray?? Bleach? Alcohol? Round Up??

2
Razeontherock 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly. Why does everyone have the same kind of bad reaction to it? Chlorine is the original chemical warfare. Really distinctive smell, I don't think anyone could mistake that. Really hard to find a more cost effective disinfectant.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's a deliberate irritant to help the virus take hold; rough up the throat and upper lungs, get people used to feeling sick so they don't notice the early onset of symptoms and get sicker, die more, and spread it more. We have to realize they are lying to us big league and that is not a gesture of good will.

People report that if they wear a mask this effects them less. Maybe that's really why they changed their tune and now tell us to wear masks? Impossible to know what to think right now ...

2
Nellie_the_Beaut [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

That’s a good reminder to let our officials know we appreciate them doing things right. It would probably be a great relief for them to hear some positive things. The county nearby has zero cases, I’m going to send their Sheriff a note of encouragement.
