If Q were who they claim to be, the believers would be happier/more satisfied. As it is, they seem constantly stressed by the need to be validated in their beliefs and the need to make converts.

IOW, the existence of deniers angers them. Somehow or other, any Q shortcomings are the fault of unbelievers. If only everybody believed, Q world would be wonderful.
